Truest a site worth seeing. We happened upon it by accident. Make this part of your touring plans. They had street performers out at night. It's a Castle in the middle of the streets. Lot's of history here. Most beautiful

Great atmosphere, lots of food options for people of different tastes, and lively any time of day with the buskers. From exploring Old Quebec Port, to views of the St. Lawrence, to the historic foundations of the Château Frontenac, this area is chock full of fun, and plenty of parking space if you're driving the family over!

It is a very common meeting point, and the final stop for several buses which take you to The Old City (Le Vieux). In Winter, there is a small xute Skating Rink with music and in Summer you'll find next to it several Artisanal stands with anything from rings and necklaces to removable tattoos. Be careful when you cross the streets there: a lot of traffic for a very small area and the drivers get impatient. The lights take forever to change but if you cross while it is red, you might get a fine! (A friend of mine had a $30 fine).

One of the most notorious place of Quebec city. A big square where you can ice skate during winter. Lots of places to sit. There is activities there all year long. Specially during summer with the Festival d'été de Québec. Lots of city buses end up on the side of the place. You also have the new Robert LePage Diamond, the Capitole and the Palais Montcalm on the sides of the open area. Not to mention Saint-Jean street old fortified gate.
