Wicked awesome small theater. A strong competitor to the Lyric Stage in Boston. U can easily do the cheap seats and get a good view. Small. Intimate. It's not the BSO.

This space & these 2 theater companies have been a fine addition to the Central Square-to-Kendall Square area, especially for regularly mounting productions of science-oriented plays, often accompanied by informative wall displays & post-performance discussions w/knowledgeable locals.

The venue itself is very good. In every performance, the seat arrangement is so good, that no matter where you seat, you never feel like you didn't have a good seat. Service is very good, the art outside of the stage is welcoming and inspiring. The performances themselves, it really depends. I have seen from brilliant works to regretting that I went to see another work.

I’ve seen some great shows here and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It is affordable and a great place to take Franz or just go on your own.

Small theater (a bit under 200 seats). Casts are professional, emphasizing local/regional talent, with few marquee names. Plays tend to be somewhat challenging in form or content, but not severely experimental (partnership with MIT means that a fair number of plays in the last couple of seasons have featured science or scientists). Offers student discounts. Very convenient public transit access via MBTA Red Line to Central Square (about 1 block walk).
