I have been to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan several times and the performances are always wonderful. This year I saw opening night of The Merry Wives of Windsor and really enjoyed it. It took a few scenes for me to be able to anticipate the accent one of the characters spoke with, but I have no other complaints about the performance. I was there on a very hot evening, and while that's part of the experience of open-air theatre, being uncomfortably hot did take me a little bit out of the action. There are paper fans and cold drinks available for purchase before the show and at intermission, but I wonder if there is some other (quiet) method of cooking a crowd that could be employed in the future--misting equipment, perhaps? Quiet bladeless fans? It's wonderful to have a well-established, highly regarded cultural event of this calibre in Saskatoon. Keep it up!

The actors are enthusiastic and very good playing their parts - all of them. The venue is compact so every seat has a good view. The length and quality of the performance was well worth the money. Parking can be a bit challenging if you don't come early - but the overflow is sufficient and the walk is reasonable

Great location, terrific idea but the temporary site hasn't improved much over the years. And back stage for performers...well there isn't one. Not very well thought out venue not after all the practice they've had over the years. But the artistic content...still worth multiple visits a year and a city treasure.

Went to see hamlet this year and it couldn't have been better. The acting was spectacular in so many ways including choreography, mannerisms, and and facial expressions. Comfortable seats and everything. Well done.

I returned it to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan after an absence of several years. I attended the Merry Wives of Windsor. What a delightful show. The character acting was excellent, the venue was pleasant, and the overall quality of the show was second to none. What a great way to spend an evening in beautiful Saskatoon!
