The (Nutrien) Fringe Festival in Saskatoon is one of my favorite summer festivals and events all year. Most people are aware of the street festival portion that is filled with vendors, street performers, buskers, and food trucks. And that is a wonderful part of the festival. The live theatre is the highlight though, with various venues all on or nearby Broadway Avenue in the heart of the Broadway district. Check out some of the performances done by local, national and international talent. These independent theatre companies really put on some great performances! There is everything from comedy to storytelling and so much more. There are even plays for kids!

It's a fun place to go hang out with friends and family. Lots of good places to eat I personally recommend una pizza and wine and the Broadway cafe if you're looking for a good poutine.
