Great pub theater! Complete with table service of drinks and food! Seating is a little weird. They are not elevated, so if you sit in the back you'll have a lot of heads in the way. First two rows are arm chairs and sofas. You can reserve seats by ordering your tickets online! Great place to see a movie if you're okay with a few compromises.

The experience is pretty good. The food service unfortunately is painfully slow. Which isn't the fault of the theater wait staff, they are dependent on the restaurant on the 1st floor. The seats are roomy and comfortable. Get seats in the middle portion of the theater for the best view.

The coolest place I've ever been in Portland. I saw a movie, but I can't wait to come back and explore more. Incredible. There just aren't many places like this out there

We had a truly enjoyable weekend spent exploring the magnificent Grand Lodge and it's truly expansive grounds. We opted for one of the rooms in the basement which have communal bathrooms for $130.00. These were the cheapest rooms available but they we're adequate and the bathrooms were kept very clean and were strategically placed so you never had to walk far to get to one. There was also three pubs in the basement and one on the main floor, which served McMenamins fine award winning microbrews. There's never a shortage of things to see and do at the Grand Lodge. From swimming in the main pool or possibly sneaking in a visit to the spa with a hot stone massage you can't go wrong. We came prepared to read everything on the walls and truly get the full experience. If this is something that you think you might like to try, make sure you plan for a whole weekend as there such a rich history it can't be truly enjoyed in one day. The grounds were kept, as always, in near perfect condition. It's truly a fabulous time of year to visit if you enjoy long leisurely strolls through gardens in breathtaking condition. An evening drive-in size movie picture on the lawn (we we're lucky enough to get the original Jaws movie). Or just trying to identifying a myriad of blooming flowers and herbs. Some even edible. Lest I forget this was a visit to one of the McMenamins fine establishments. So it almost goes without saying the food was very good. It was just exotic enough to not be your normal fare and downright tasty to boot. There are two different restaurants at the lodge, so once again you don't have to drive anywhere. We ate at or ordered take out from both of them several times and it was always prompt and well put together. I don't know how they fit that many flavors into one dish every time. Five Stars, well earned!

Food and service was great. We ate inside as it was raining. Very nice atmosphere.
