They emailed me to phone in and reserve my seat. I phoned in to reserve my seat. After spending over 25 minutes on the phone, I was told that it was going to cost me $58 to book my seat. I had to wait until 24 hours to book it for free. I'm OK with booking it 24 hours ahead of time. My beef is that they didn't tell me in the email that it would cost $58, so I wasted 25 minutes of my life only to tell them no thanks. Furthermore, it cost them about 10 minutes of their staff time (15 minutes I was on hold) to deal with this. Something so simple had to become complicated and time wasting. It didn't have to be that way.

With all IT and intelligence at their command, charging poor passengers with such hefty tickets prices( courtesy, no competitor, except Air Canada), I failed to understand, why I have to cool my heels in this barn-Cowshed type local air port at Calgary (YEC)for my onward flight to Edmonton, for full Four HOURS. I booked my flights with West Jet, from San Diego to Edmonton. I landed here at 17;08 and my connecting flight to Edmonton was booked at 2100 Hrs. Booking was done almost three months in advance. And 1:00 hours should have been sufficient for transfer within airport. ( In worst case of missing my flight by whiskers, I would have been accommodated in any of the next flights) Why couldn’t West Jet book me on 1800 YYEC TO YEFG flight? I asked the officer on boarding desk duty, and he told me that there ARE a few seats available but he can’t help?? What type of poor seat passengers and flights management??

Spent over 10 000 on flights last year and never got upgraded status to silver. Had to call, to get them to look. Finally got upgraded. Spent even more this year and never got upgraded again. Even though i followed all there quantifying flight emails. On hold for 45 mins friday and was hung up on this week... just got off phone and no help... Now the rewards people today said : Now west jet rewards is telling me to go through whole year and narrow down any missing points or qualifing flights. They cant even do there job! Making air canada look good!

They have a new policy (to me anyway) regarding online services for customers of Travel Agents. I could only see basic information and when I clicked on the couple clickable things it came back telling me that service was not available to people who booked with an agent. I contacted Westjet and the lady did add the need for a wheelchair to my booking but told me I could only pay on line for baggage 24 hours before my flight and would have to check in and select my seats at the Airport. Not so good for handicapped seniors who like to use Airmiles and get gift cards from their children. Not sure what I'll do if I can't get an aisle seat, just express concern about being able to get out of my seat by myself I guess.

Never ever use this airline, long story short, I had a flight cancelled and they told me to book another flight and they would refund the amount, then they refusedbto refund it. Worst experience ever with an airline. Very sad
