Great company to deal with - online reservation was easy, staff were very friendly and helpful, provided a shuttle to/from a secure parking lot where we kept our vehicle while on the water..... great vessel + motor.... no problems at all. Would come back here in a heartbeat.

I rented a boat from Reds rental for 4 hours, I was told where I can take the boat and where I couldn’t in orientation.when I returned the boat I was charged an extra $60 for damages to the propeller which did not happen during my time on the boat. Prior to renting the boat the staff failed to show me the propeller before I use the boat so upon return the owner assumed that I damaged his boat. The owner then asked if I could cover 50% of the damage and he would cover the other half which I refused to pay since I did not do any damage. The owner then proceeded to withdraw the $60 from my credit card anyways which was in their possession due to damage deposit and such. I was told that there is a 2000 dollar hold till I returned the boat. Also I think it’s worth mentioning that on the receipt the return time was inaccurate, the receipt showed rented for full day. So in other words had I returned the boat pass the 4 hours I’m assuming they would have charged me for full day since it was on the receipt, which I think is a scam. I advise anybody to go elsewhere or make sure to check everything including your receipt and make sure everything is in order. If you go there they will find something to get your money from your pocket

We rented paddleboards for the week. Worked out great. Not the best boards but they worked out well.

rented seadoos and was charged for damages but was never invited to look at the bottom before seems like a scam

We had a great experience renting a canoe from Red's. The owner was super helpful, and aided us in setting a realistic destination (we underestimated the size of the lake). The rate was reasonable - we paid $60 and tax for the canoe for the day. Lots of great places along the Shuswap to stop for a picnic or camp overnight.
