Service to this airport is not very reliable. With any sort of less than ideal weather they have issues with services, specially at night. Once, we were turned around and landed at Syracuse, then bused over to Watertown airport. You can imagine the hassle and scramble at SYR, passed midnight with barely any agent available there, to co-ordinate transportation. If you are brown, be prepared to be “randomly” flagged for extra screening. I have noticed, the TSA agents let another white lady right before me who didn’t have pre-check go through the x-ray machine without any additional check since they don’t have scanner. Even though I was selected for random electronic search every time despite having TSA-Pre through Global entry program where you go though background check and interview on top of being eligible through my military association. This airport only have an x-ray machine, no scanner or pre-check luggage screening. That means, you get to keep your light jacket and shoe, but have to take out all electronics and liquids. As far other amenities, personal-use restroom is big and clean. Two vending machines with beverage and small snacks. Free Kurig coffee. Free parking. One gate, so not much wait in line.

This is the smallest airport I’ve ever been to but the staff were very friendly and checking in didn’t take long at all.... if you need to check bags I would arrive about an hour-hour and a half early at the most... the planes flying out are not very large either. My flight was to Philadelphia PA. Going through TSA only took about 10 minutes maximum. I think flying out of here if you live locally is worth the money than driving down to fly out of Syracuse.

Only took 20 minutes to check in and go through security. Friendliest security I have encountered. Small airport but I enjoyed the experience.

I am surprised at some of the very negative reviews. We had an amazing experience at Watertown Airport. We are seasoned travelers and use Pearson Airport in Toronto - that can be a nightmare! This past Friday we flew to Philly from Watertown. We returned today after three days in Philly. Watertown Airport has free parking. Fast friendly check in. Even the security guys were friendly! Free WiFi. Free Keurig coffee. And the staff even addressed us by name as we boarded the aircraft. OK, it's a small airport with only a couple of American Airlines flights a day, but it met our needs and we will use it again. Beats those nasty big city airports!

They wait until its time to take off to try to start the de-icer just to find out it wont start. This airport is in watertown, obviously, youd think they could operate in 15 degrees but they cant. And their mechanic has to come from Rochester..... Dont waste your time here. Worst airport Ive ever seen
