Gorgeously close to downtown Tobermory. Steve was, attentive, helpful, polite, and very pleasant to deal with. We where provided with bikes to hike into town 👍about 20 min. ride to one of the Great Lakes Gem locations... We look forward to our return.

Tobermory is a great place to visit and dine if you are pilot except for the fact that they have no courtesy car, no taxi's, and only some beater bicycles if you wish to visit the town. Short sighted, yes, typical of Canadian municipal airports yes. Visit Collingwood or Midland instead, use their cars, enjoy the towns.

Flying to this airport in our Cessna 177 takes us about an hour. Driving, it's almost four hours. Just did the calculations - costs almost exactly the same ($125) to fly as to drive ($0.48/kilometer). From the airport the bike ride (free bikes) takes about 20 minutes. Tobermory is a vibrant little town with good food and lots of shops. The car ferry is fun to watch. We make a point of visiting a couple of times a year. The airport makes it all possible.

Lovely general aviation airport on the Bruce. Bikes available to pilots and easy access to town.
