Complete vultures!! Our jeep hit a patch of ice and flipped into a ditch on the way to Canmore during the February long weekend. We were obviously very shaken and had to climb out of the vehicle, which was on its side. As we were getting into the vehicle of a good Samaritan, someone from United Towing pulled up in what looked like an Emergency Response vehicle and proceeded to tell us that they were there to help us, but only if we called the number of the side of the car. We were extremely shaken (having literally climbed out of our overturned vehicle moments prior) and called the number as they said it was “the only way” they could help us because of “protocol”. We were certainly happy to have someone helping us and trusted everything they said. HOWEVER, we were never provided a quote on scene (and didn’t ask as we were shaken and hadn’t even seen EMS or police yet). We were also encouraged to get the car towed immediately that day, without giving us time to check our insurance or make arrangements for what would happen to our truck. Because of this, we were charged for towing to the impound lot in Canmore, and again to move it to an autobody shop down the street. We also didn’t have insurance for collisions (on our 15 year old jeep) and United Towing ended up charging us $1500!!! We feel like we were really preyed upon by United Towing, who completely took advantage of two young people who had just been in a severe accident and could have been suffering from serious injuries. They use a police scanner to find vulnerable people they can take advantage of so they can be on scene before the police or fire department. Completely despicable! United Towing also attempted to silence and bully me on their Facebook page (see screenshots below). Totally unprofessional. They also removed their Facebook reviews section in order to hide the fact that they have numerous 1 star reviews.

Humiliating experience!!! Cops call Gary from united towing cochrane to tow my car that I slid into the ditch with, from a big misunderstanding that didn't involve my car! On dec 21st! He was very rude! he shouldn't have been called in the 1st place!! I ended up paying 300! Gary wanted 375 for pulling my car out of the ditch. Then he comes to my window and says, "Thank you would be nice". Gary and the cop were complete bullies!!

Rolling past Canmore and my boat trailer blew a tire, United totally took great care of my boat, towed it back to their yard to be stored till I could sort out tires. Keep up the good work and great customer service. Definitely put my mind at ease.

My friend is older and very hard of hearing and she had her tires slashed by her rude neighbor. She asked me to call United Towing for her since she can not hear on the phone. They were so accommodating not only for her hearing loss- which they totally were but everything in general. Since she is hard of hearing Cari - must be the receptionist - was contacting her and myself through text messaging since she knows my friend can't hear on the phone and she arranged for an after hours pick up and drop off at a local tire shop. Also she arranged for the tow truck driver to give my friend a text when they arrived as they again know that she can not hear the phone ring or hear anyone talking on the phone. The price was the cheapest by A LOT anywhere in town. 10/10 would and will recommend again and again. Thank you Cari and United towing!
