Stopped in on a Sat. to do an out of Province registration of my brand new horse trailer which I had just bought and transported from Alberta. They said they could not do it ... "only two staff do them as they are too complicated and take too much time" ..... They were very negative and curt. Went down the street to Capri and was done within half an hour. I had all my documentation with me and if Vernon BCAA had asked a few questions, I would have been able to tell them that the Chilliwack BCAA could have supported them through the process. As for the time factor, I was there when they opened and was the only customer in the building. I've been a member since 1975 and conscientiously visited my local Chilliwack BCAA to make sure I had everything in order before I made the trip to get my trailer.

Update: still have had no correspondence regarding money to be refunded from a car rental. Very disappointed BCAA! It's been well over a month! Grumpy staff. Appear to not like their job very much and were defensive right off the hop. So weird. "I dont make the rules" was the answer to most of my questions regarding a request for a little more in depth explanation of my plan.

Premium Member, All I wanted was Detailed North American Maps and Campgrounds, phoned the Vernon number got some guy in Burnaby, and right away I knew this was not going to work, He could not help me, as they need certain areas of where you are going,, Well I wanted the maps to get travel information about campgrounds for RVs and other information about Travelling North America, said he would phone me back, not expecting a call back, Vernon used to have a BCAA travel center with all kinds of information about travelling, it closed, now do not know where they went to or even if they still exist, Other than that, they are helpful at the Vernon Office,

Fantastic employees, terrible policies, outrageous home insurance premiums. I have had a claim with my home insurance in over a dozen years, and my monthly cost has almost tripled. And my "replacement value" of my home has remained stagnant, and if I want it to reflect the actual increase in cost of building, I'd have to pay even more. Shopping for alternatives as I type, I suggest you do to! Membership is NOT rewarding. Cancelling all BCAA ASAP
