Customer service is no longer a top priority for this company. Was a regular customer but won't be back after being treated like they can't be bothered to work on my car. After checking with other repair shops I also found that Shannon's prices are $100's more than other great local repair shops. It's like a big hole opened up and their customer service fell in. My word of advice is to shop around, there are better shops out there, that stand by their work and treat you like a valuable customer.

I used to be a very loyal customer of Shannon Motors. At first they were great to deal with. as time went by I started noticing problems with diagnosing, repair, and suspicious they were over billing me, or padding the bill. The first problem I started to notice is they said my wife's car had a bad transmission, it did not, and the transmission to this day is still working. I had also taken my car in, it had a light staying on the dash after the car was turned off, it would drain the battery. Shannon Motors billed be almost $200, didn't fix anything, then wanted several hundred more to finally fix it. For them not to have the problem fixed and to ask for more money, I thought was odd. I was still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Recently I had window problems with my car, brought it in, dropped it off. Jess phoned me later in the day and said I can pick the car up. When I arrived she gave me an estimate for hundreds of dollars of work to be done ($400-$500). I asked her if a mechanic had looked at the problem with the window, she said "No." She mentioned the mechanic took on an apprentice and is busy. They don't have time to look at it. Never offered to have the car back the next day, nothing! My BS detector was really going off now. No mechanic has looked at the car, but I am being given a high estimate to repair it? If a mechanic hasn't looked at it, how do they know their suggested repair is the appropriate course to take? How many other repairs did I pay for that i didn't need? I then discovered later, the problem they gave me a high estimate for, wasn't what the problem was. They have lost me as a customer. I will not be back.

A big thank you to Joe and Steve, at Shannon Motors on the Alberni Hwy, for a painless transaction, for giving me an awesome deal on this lovely Chevy Cruze, an excellent trade-in value for my Jeep, and for your integrity, honesty and excellent customer service. I am so glad we stayed local. And I am tickled pink with my 'new-to-me' vehicle and the extra services you threw in. You guys rock! I highly recommend this dealership.

I pulled in to their shop with a cooling issue on my van just as the last two employees were leaving for the day. Jason (I think I have his name right) went out of his way to identify the problem and although he couldn't make any repairs that night, was able to get me on my way to Victoria. He focused on the problem, didn't rush, and didn't expect payment. Service like that is rare these days. Highly recommended shop.
