After finding mouse droppings under the hood of my classic BMW 525i and stench blowing out my heater vents, I decided to open a rodent claim with MPI. I contacted Diamond Auto out of Winkler to have them tow it to their shop for a good cleaning. I picked up the car the following week and began inspecting the work. BMW makes beautifully crafted cars, including what is found under the hood. When I looked under the hood, I found these white spots covering all the parts in the engine compartment. It’s as if they whitewashed the entire compartment with the solution and letting it dry, leaving white spots all over. I tried scrubbing off the spots but that didn’t work. I hadn’t yet gone back because I was preparing for a two week trip to Ontario. The solution they used was probably something to neutralize the toxicity of the mouse droppings. Too bad they didn’t rinse off with clean water. Was I their first rodent claim customer? Maybe. While driving the car back, I turned on the fan, the air reeked dead mouse, although not as bad as when I first noticed it. I drove it like that for a week or two hoping the smell would go away, which it didn’t. I watched a Scott Kilmer video on YouTube that shows how to eliminate odors in heater vents by spraying the air intake vents with a can of Lysol. That did the trick. Thank you Lysol, no thank you Diamond Auto. At the time I picked up the car and signed the paperwork. The man at the desk said to me to call him back if there was anything wrong. I didn’t want to do that, as my trip was coming up and I did not want to have them tie up the car for another week. And besides, writing up reviews like this could cause a business to review what they did wrong or decide whether or not it’s worth doing $2000 rodent claims. I will return the car after my trip to see if they can remove those white spots under the hood and follow up with another one of these reviews.

Absolutley the WORST place to ever take your vehicle if you want it back in working condition. They told me my radio was shot and motor for my doors was shot when they didnt even look at it. I had someone else from winnipeg look at it and found a fuse was bumped out of place. Then when I dropped it off the horn, air bags, and cruise control worked. I know it worked because I had a safety done Just a couple weeks previous. When I picked it up they didnt work. When trying to get it fixed they had me drop off the van 3 seprate times. Then a lady called me back and was nothing but nasty and rude telling me to complain to mpi. Even mpi said they were responsible and have approved me to get it fixed elsewhere and they will get reimbursed from Diamond. My advice is make sure you have proof of what works before leaving your vehicle in their hands. Otherwise FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE TO HAVE YOUR WORK DONE! THEY DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK THEY DO. CUSTOMER BEWARE!

I sent my car to Diamond Autobody & Glass in July, after coming back from holidays to find a squirrel had set up residence in my car's engine compartment. I needed to get my car back as quickly as possible, and Diamond was able to start work immediately. Once the damage had been repaired, and the car restored to like-new condition, it was returned to my driveway in Winnipeg. Staff at Diamond were courteous and professional throughout what was a lengthy process. I am very pleased with my experience, and would recommend this service to others.

A joke. Swearing in front of my son. Disrespectful. Lost a customer.
