Never, ever, EVER accept the first offer if your car has been written off. The agent I dealt with offered me far less than the blue book value for my car citing, "this is how much similar cars are going for on Kijiji." I couldn't believe what I was hearing, Kijiji?!? What in the holy effin hell is this? Did I fall into a parallel universe where the blue book value of a vehicle comes second to a buy and sell website where people can also propose casual sexual encounters? It ended up working out after some fighting and haggling but I have to say if there was any alternative to mpi, you can bet your last dollar I'd be taking my business there.

Very corrupt. Claimed my cars engine had no compression and offered me half it's value. I knew this wasn't true as it ran fine and with the compression figures they presented me with an engine would not even run. So I had a mechanic go to their premises and perform a compression test. And it turned out that they had not even performed a compression test so had given me made up results and the compression on each cylinder of my engine was actually perfect. Strangely they then promptly paid me out the correct value for my car and never said anymore about the incident. They cannot be trusted at all and I'm sure they have ripped off many vulnerable people. Typical of a government agency in this corrupt country.
