Best certified mechanic around! Goes above and beyond for all his customers! I have took a stack of business cards and hand them out to all my friends and family! Couldn’t be happier with the work Josh does for me and my cars! Highly recommend him and wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!

Saved me hundreds where I would've spent elsewhere. Immediately knew what was wrong with my car, and when I said I needed it finished that day, they rushed the part in to get it done quickly.

Had a remote starter installed. By far , hands down for service. Had a very minor adjustment and Josh came into his work place to fix (Christmas Eve). Truly grateful , and extremely impressed. Will be back with more work for him , gauranteed

Had Joshua build me a beefed up 200 amp alternator for my 01 mustang gt. Works fantastic!! Haven't had a problem. Great job Josh!

Worst “mechanic” I have ever dealt with. I had an oil leak situation and was quoted to replace both valve cover gaskets on a 4.8 V8 X5. I agreed and left the vehicle, work was on and off for 8 days until complete. I was told during the process that the alternator should be rebuilt as it has to come out, and I figured they may as well do the work as they were in that area anyways. I paid for this extra work, waited 4x as long for the vehicle and when I picked it up, noticed that I had an error on on my dash and engine light on and my driveshaft was making an extremely loud clunking sound all of a sudden. When I called in, Joshua told me that the engine light is on as the cam sensors need to be replaced. I now found it odd as Joshua should have said that when he worked on it. He said he would swap out the driveshaft for a low price, which made me feel like he was damaging things but I took it back to get the cam sensors replaced, the driveshaft replaced and the transmission fluid flushed. After I picked it back up and after driving just one day, the radiator fan literally fell apart and I immediately noticed that glue was used to previously fix the fan and I assume that since they took out the fan a few times, that Joshua must have damaged the fan and tried to “fix” it. After driving for a few days, the oil leak came has back. Joshua told me to bring it in and he would fix it. I waited 2 days for a “fix” and he told me that it cost $250 - so I paid him and it’s still leaking - even worse. I wasted well over $2000 at highland starter and alternator and then took it to another mechanic that showed me all the epoxy and silicone glue used on my vehicle. Joshua is a joke, he has ruined the name and reputation that his father created at Highland Starter & Altermator. He is not a licensed mechanic, has a bad reputation (found out after) for repairing cars and creates damage to make you keep coming back. There are a lot more details like stripped bolts, glued sensors, missing screws, damage to parts etc... this is just to give you a top level summary of what happened...
