Fantastic service. Quickest, most trustworthy, and least expensive shop in town. Better than all the local competition. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Excellent! I bought a make of used car a few years back that is... Not seen in this area too often. I had a difficult time finding anyone that would even touch it, let alone for a reasonable price, and was worried I'd made a horrible mistake. Then I called R&R! They have all been amazing at what they do, and they're so upfront with any problems they find. Their prices are exceptional and I won't take my car anywhere else. Completely, 100%, recommend them!

My daughter is a student Suny Potsdam. On mothers day we received a call from her stating that her car was overheating. Immediately I went on line to find a mechanic. There were a handful to choose from. I read all the reviews. Some had alot of reviews with good and bad. R& R had not as many reviews but not 1 bad one. On Monday morning i called R&R and spoke with the owner. I advised him that the car was overheating and it needed a tow. He said he could provide a tow for $50 but if we were members of AAA the tow would be free. Fortunately we are members. I contacted AAA on monday and scheduled a pick up between 100pm and 130pm(In between finals) AAA was ON TIME. R&R confirmed the the arrival of the car in the shop and advised that they would be able to check the car on tues. On tues we receiced a call with the prognosis. Cracked radiator....he had ordered the part and the car would be ready for pick up on wed. On wed the car was ready as promised Potsdam is hours away from home and trying to find a good, honest mechanic so far away is not easy. Its not easy finding a good honest mechanic near home. I wish R&R was closer to me to take my own car. I would highly recommend R&R to all, especially the students. Parents rest assured you will have peace of mind. We got great service and at a reasonable price.

So I got worried about my (new) used car I bought from Watertown about a few weeks ago. (Currently living in Potsdam, NY but moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan soon) After taking it on a long trip to Cape Cod soon after buying it, the check engine light came on. I saw my "Next Service Due" sticker for an oil change so I figured I needed at least that, plus God knows what else. I had a buddy who knows cars much better than I do check it out for me before going to any local garage I didn't know I could trust. Well, my buddy says everything looked fine, just to be careful of the underneath frame rust. So, I look up reviews and find R&R and set up an early appointment with them the next week. I go in, I get a warm welcome, I get my car checked out. I was told first that the rust was merely average for a car as old as mine (a 2003) and shouldn't be a worry, unless I really wanted it done. Also, that my check engine light is on for a minor issue, easily fixable for around $140. Plus, it isn't a necessary fix- except for inspections. Michigan doesn't require them, and because I'm moving in a few weeks, I don't necessarily need it. I decide it would be okay to hold off on that for now. They say OK and hand me a $32 bill for the oil change! THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING I DIDN'T ASK and they gave me a great price. I absolutely recommend R&R auto for a friendly, intelligent, trustworthy place to get your car tuned up or fixed! They won't do you dirty.

Given how impossible it seems to find trustworthy mechanics nowadays, I consider myself lucky to have found R & R Automotive. Another shop (local) gave me an over $800 quote on multiple "serious problems" which "need to be fixed right away." I took my car to R & R to get a second opinion and they said that there was nothing wrong with it, that those "problems" were nothing to worry about and I didn't have to fix anything. The manager could have charged me less and went ahead with the work, but here they do not take advantage. This is the kind of garage a costumer stays with. I have since brought my car in to have other things checked (it's s 2002 so bound to have problems) and, again, they checked my tires, ensured me it was safe and not in need of any investment. After some experiences I've had with shops, I couldn't be more pleased with the service I have received from R & R.
