This store is super cool, but I'll never give them my business after the service today. Asked a simple question about a banner on the wall that I was interested in and was told that it wasn't for sale... that's no big deal. Was shopping the store and a family member asked as well if the same banner was for sale. The banner has personal significance so my family member was interested as well, and did not know that I had asked the same question a few minutes earlier. I heard the same woman snipe at my family member that it wasn't for sale. My family member insisted that she would be willing to pay top dollar, and she sniped again that it wasn't for sale. The woman was totally condescending towards us. Won't waste my time or money here.

Love this store and its staff! Cartolina is my go-to for gift worthy Nelson/Kootenay area souvenirs (for myself, and friends who appreciate the heritage and spirit of the place.) Evocative of an old dry goods supply store, they have lovely quality items at reasonable prices.

Went to Cartolina this afternoon and had the worst customer service I️ have ever experienced. After spending a generous amount of money at their store, I️ was spoken to very rudely by not one but two employees. I️ have been a returning customer for many years to this store and I️ will NEVER go back. Completely unnaceptable and frankly embarrassing for the store.

Beautiful store, lovely items, vintage theme but mostly new. The woman we dealt with was pompous AF. Know before you walk in, you will be treated like a lowly POS unfit to stand in this lady's presence.

A very beautiful space with quality products. We always make sure to visit this place during our bi-annual trips to Nelson. I love stocking up on their Formula 55 soaps. Our most recent trip we splurged and each got a bottle of cologne. Now I have a fragrance to remind me of my favourite little spot in the entire world. Jody in the shop is always so welcoming and remembers us every time! She has offered to ship out favourite soaps to us even though it is not available on their website... we may just take her up on her offer but it is always a great excuse to come back for more. Our next visit we plan to stay in the Tremont, a loft that is available to vacation in literally above the shop! Cartolina is a great representation of what Nelson is!
