Westcoast Outbuildings was contracted to build a tiny home for delivery to our lot on Lake Whatcom. The project was initially verbally agreed to deliver by Thanksgiving 2017 and then further revised in writing to deliver by March 2018. Westcoast missed both delivery deadlines and the unit has still not been delivered as of July 30, 2018. Westcoast also got into a dispute with the finance company that they recommended for financing projects with them. This resulted in our financing being cancelled mid way through the project even though we have met all requirements of the loan including making all payments. Westcoast has now substantially completed the project but forgot to install in floor heating in the bathroom, a closet in the bedroom, loft railing, sliding door in the loft bedroom. All these items were on the plans approved for this project and we paid extra to have drawings redone for the loft bedroom work. We paid for a unit to be delivered for the fall of 2017 and now our family has missed an entire summer season, incurred substantial financial costs due to financing being cancelled and have an end product that is not what was ordered.

Westcoast Outbuildings built our cottage at Lake Whatcom. Our initial meeting with Geoff and Laura-Lee was great, they told us what we wanted to hear. The build process was extremely frustrating for us. Our cottage was delivered much later than our agreed upon date. There were a few items in the build that we were disappointed with, such as our painted steel stairs when we thought we were getting powder coated aluminum. The plumbing had issues. We have deficiencies that are still unresolved and just received a notice that our warranty claims are cancelled. I would never hire them again.
