An unfortunate word or two about Still Water Tattoo business owner Christine Noble. I'm not sure any other current/prospective clients of Christine would care about the character of the person with whom they do business, but if you do, and character matters to you then it's disappointing when you observe them behaving in less-than-honourable ways. Nobody is perfect, but perhaps Christine might consider driving a little less like a DB and be a little more patient when traffic isn't moving fast enough for her in that sweet S5 cabriolet. Leaning on her horn at the vehicles in front of her when they are already moving above the limit isn't constructive. We are all in a hurry to get to where we want to go, yet Christine behaves as if her time is more important than others. Aggressive and self-centred driving habits aside, I think the most disappointing part of my observations of Christine Noble was her choice to ornament her rear view mirror with a severed eagle/hawk/falcon talon. Call me over-sensitive, but decorating one's vehicle with the severed foot of an innocent animal is both tone-deaf and cruel. The type of person who would put their own vanity ahead of the life of an animal, when we all know animals such as these are hunted down senselessly for their talons/tusks/gall-bladder/etc is reprehensible and only perpetuates caveman-like attitudes from the past. It's both shocking and sad that she lacks such awareness, and I definitely don't want that negative energy transferring on to my skin. Nor would I want to support people like this with my business. Christine, if you are reading this, maybe be a little less self-important, and also think about the types of industries based in animal-cruelty that you complicity support when you make a choice to adorn your car with the talon/foot of a majestic bird-of-prey, all in the name of vanity and symbolic street cred. Not very Noble. Basically, try to be a better human being and have some humility.

I've gotten various independent tattoos since I was a teenager. About 3-4 years ago I came across Christine through friends. I wanted to connect, and expand my tattoos to be more in balance and even. Effectively, I was looking for half/quarter sleeves. Christine looked at my tattoos and then gave me her vision and plan. I loved her ideas and we went forward with some time in the chair. Tattoos can be very painful, but Christine has a soft touch with a machine that effectively stabs you to put in ink. The atmosphere is so relaxed and private. Since the half/quarter sleeves I've been back twice more to have my children's names tattooed across my chest. The most recent being this past Wednesday and my first time in her new shop. The new location is amazing, relaxing and has a such a cool vibe. We are now working on putting together a back piece. I don't usually ever give reviews, but her expertise, talent and demeanor is what tattooing should be about. I highly recommend the experience, and Christine as a professional laid back artist. Because that is what she is, she's a talented artist that uses the human body as her canvas.
