Had the most amazing experience with the girls in Velvet! I don't live in England so my consultation had to be done by email and phone. The amazing Vivi was so helpful and open to my ideas. When I flew over I saw the design and was blown away! The talent Vivi has is insane! As I was only over for a few days we did two full days in a row. Trooper!Vivi smashed it out so it would be finished before I flew home! The whole vibe of the shop is so professional and so nice! I'm walking away with a serious piece of ink and a brilliant experience! I seriouser recommend this studio!I will be back! Thanks again Vivi!!✌️

Professional and friendly The creative talent on show at this place is amazing. Add in the fact that they're highly professional and friendly makes this place one you must check out. Karen did mine and I cannot recommend enough. Her dot work is crazy....just check out her Insta feed! Thanks Karen!

I had my first full day today with Emily. I am absolutely blown away at the work we have achieved so far. I went to Emily about three weeks ago with the idea of a mermaid with a beautiful tail (not the standard v shape fin). I asked for realistic and beautiful and so far Emily has exceeded my expectations. She is so absolutely stunning and I personally could not fault her. The detail and effort so far put into this tattoo is mind blowing. Emily and her team have all been super helpful, friendly and polite. The team make you feel super comfortable. The artists knowledge of their skill is of high quality. Part of my mermaid is a cover up due to a inexperienced tattooist pushing too deep when tattooing this causing a blow out (looks like bruising throughout a lot of the arm). Emily and her team were knowledgeable to this error. I have seen many a tattoist to cover the mess and a lot do not know what blow out is. The shop is clean and tidy and a big thing for myself is seeing a artist remove the needle from fresh packaging so as you know it hasn't been used by anyone before. I was provided with very thorough before and after care information and also enough cream to get me through till at least the next day when I can make it too a pharmacy. I honestly can't thank Emily enough for her work today and I look forward to our next few days doing this sleeve.

I went to three tattoo shops before deciding Velvet Underground was right for me. The very talented Karen took my ideas, references and input to visualise my design. Karen also took the time with numerous emails and a second meeting to discuss the design and make some final tweaks before tattoo day. I’m really pleased with the outcome and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Karen. It was as great experience and all of the staff were friendly.

Emily is literally brilliant. I've been to a bunch of tattoo shops but this one has by far been the best. They made everything quite convenient and were great at communicating. Lexy and everyone at the shop are so lovely and helpful! Emily did an incredible job of interpreting what I wanted into a gorgeous design and tattoo, she's extremely talented and also great to be around. Can't recommend it enough !
