Pretty in Ink is an awesome experience with a wonderful woman at the helm. I would recommend them to anyone and as a business they should win an award yearly.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! BEWARE DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! Jackie pierced my tragus last Thursday, Jan 18th. Everything went well, except she said her hands were large and it was hard for her to screw the back of the piercing on. I thought everything was fine, paid her the $50 AND gave her a $10 tip. She told me she was going away that weekend, but if I had any problems to send her a message and she would get back to me when she got back. IOn Saturday night I was cleaning my piercing as instructed and the back fell off, and went right down my sink. I wrote her a message right away (Saturday night) telling her what happened. I got an automatic reply. That night I cleaned the piercing and put a band aid over it hoping like hell it wouldn’t fall out in my sleep. I was up every few hours checking to make sure it was still in. I made it through Saturday night and sent her another message on Sunday to PLEASE let me know as soon as she was back in town so she could replace the earring, I was so worried it would fall out and the piercing would close after spending $60 to get it pierced. She wrote me back Sunday night one short line that said “Shop is closed Monday, I won’t be back in until Tuesday”. She never said sorry, she showed no sympathy for the situation and it was her fault the back fell off from not screwing it on tight enough. At this point it was swollen and the tip kept growing over in my sleep, every morning I had to pop it back through to make sure it was still pierced. THREE NIGHTS went by without a back on my piercing, Saturday, Sunday and Monday night with no back on this stupid earring. She said she would meet me at 11am on Tuesday, when the shop opened. I was so happy to finally get a new earring in and stop worrying about this. Tuesday at 9:30 she wrote me that she wouldn’t be able to make it in for 11am and couldn’t come until 5/5:30 because of the weather. I finish work at 4:30 and said this was fine I would just wait for her. Then an hour later she writes back saying 6:30pm is the earliest she could make it. That was NOT okay, I would have to sit in the parking lot of her shop from 4:30-6:30 to wait for her, because I live 30 min away. So either wait for her for two hours, or go a FOURTH night with no back on my earring and a stupid band aid holing it in. She didn’t care to fix the problem at all. I decided to go to Dog House Ink, who I explained the situation to. They weren’t even open for business and they let me come in to put a new earring in my tragus. The guy said that Jackie had been let go from Dog House Ink and that they get people in regularly who have problems with her piercings and that he’s tired of fixing her mistakes. He said she didn’t even use the right earring and I was lucky it fell out because my ear had stated to crater. He said he wouldn’t recommend for anyone to go to Pretty in Ink and neither would I !!! Jackie at Pretty in Ink did not have any concern for the emergency situation that ensued from my piercing. She never apologized for the fact that it happened, and she never apologized for not coming in. I slept for three nights without a back on my earring and I would NEVER recommend Jackie or Pretty in Ink to anyone else because her customer service is atrocious. Trust a real shop!!!!
