Eaton Centre is getting remodeled and the existing Sephora is also getting expanded and remodeled. For a better customer experience Sephora decided to create a temp store while the expansion is occurring (much better than leaving the store open). It is a little hard to find... The temp store is directly under the existing store. There are signs on the floor and the walls showing where it is. It's also accessible from the metro station. All in all it is not bad... The shelves are lit and the store didn't lose any brands or capacity. The beauty advisors are all knowledgeable and friendly. They still offer full services.

Every single time I go to that Sephora, the customer service astonishes me. It is deplorable. I ask for help and the lady in the front tells me she will call someone for me and that I just need to get to the section and wait for an employee to come and see me. I wait. And I wait. Nobody ever comes and after a while, I need to go and find an employee by myself. Last time I went there, I was looking for a facial sunscreen and wanted a sample. I asked the front lady for help and as always, they ask me to get to the station and wait for an employee. Great, that's what I did. I wait a few minutes and see an employee coming my way. I turn and ask for her help and she responds with : "I'm a makeup girl, not skincare. Go find a skincare girl." and then she leaves. ????????? What kind of service is that? I wanted a little sample; I really don't care if you're a makeup, perfume or skincare girl. You should be able to make a sample of any product and if you really can't...help me out by getting me another employee? Is that too much to ask?

This store is all about Troy. No, everyone else is nice and friendly but I've never met anyone (including Google) who know more about skin care. Every ingredient, every skin type, every possibility, Troy knows literally everything there is to know and takes the time to make sure you understand the products that work for you.

The store is currently in renovations now, and the team will move to their new space in a month or so. The people working there I find very helpful, and when I asked for a sample (I have never asked before) of a serum that I researched online, the lady discussed what I wanted it for and proceeded to recommend a toner that may help. She gave samples of both the serum and toner. The line up to pay is long, so I try to go really early to avoid crowds. The main benefit to Sephora is the opportunity to sample products and return them if there is an issue. If you haven't signed up for the member card, do it! It's always fun to get a little make up sample for your birthday 😃

What can I say... I mean it's Sephora! Of course it's amazing. Only downside is this place is so packed! Staff are super helpful and will let you try some things before buying. Pretty good selection of perfumes as well.
