Tamara is the best piercer I have ever had. I’ve had well over 30 piercings, some redone through scar tissue, some new. Tamara has given me 4 piercings now, one of which went through scar tissue, and each one has been faster and less painful than any other piercer I have experienced. If you’re looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and overall amazing piercer, you definitely need to see Tamara.

It takes a lot for me to write a negative review. I don't like to do It, but I am left with a $150 unusable gift certificate and a sad mom so here I am writing this. My mom decided she wanted a small tattoo. She was super excited about it. I decided to do something awesome for her mother's day present and buy her a $150 gift certificate for Tremaine. Shortly after I bought it, all their artists started leaving. Literally all their artist decided to leave. I knew Tremaine was leaving at the end of the week, so I called the shop to book an appointment. I was specifically told by the receptionist that Tremaine would honour my mom's gift certificate at her new shop and not to worry about trying to get in before she left. Being close to people at that shop, I was super happy that they were doing that for me! I told my mom to call Tremaine and book an appointment. She tried and Tremaine decided she didn't want to honour the gift certificate anymore. I called Eye of the needle and they proceeded to lie to me and say that they didn't even say that in the first place and that Tremaine never agreed to that. So, now all their artists have left and Bailey is the last person at the shop. I believe there is another apprentice but he has no portfolio online and I am not getting just 'someone' to do a tattoo on my mother. At this point I am getting a bit upset. The present went from being super awesome to super stressful and my mom was getting discouraged. I called the shop again to discuss options, trying not to upset anyone because who wants someone pissed off tattooing your mom. The gentleman told me my mom could book in with Bailey no prob. Her tattoo would be less than an hour and she could squeeze her in. Awesome! Call my mom, get her to call the shop again to make an appointment. She called and was denied an appointment again because Bailey's minimum is $360. So my mother was told that she had to spend $360 for her hour tattoo. My mother isn't a heavily tattooed woman and nor does she have an extra $210 for a tattoo. Her idea is super easy and would only take an hour. At this point she is completely over it. She is sad and this tattoo has turned into something super negative. I was at my tattoo appointment at ROP and I mentioned to Pat the situation to try and get his advice. Pat being the outstanding man that he is, realized that this was really upsetting to me and told me that he would do my mom's tattoo for me and that he would honour their gift certificate! That's good business. To me, you can't put a price on the kindness of people. It took Pat one second to see that I just wanted my mom to be happy and have something she loved. My mom is so excited that someone finally wants to do her tattoo. For the first time throughout all of this, she finally got excited. I work hard for my money and I think it's very important to support business' that deserve to be supported. Eye of the needle did nothing to help this situation. They lied to me and made my mom feel bad. Every dollar you spend is a vote casted and I will not be spending another dollar at Eye of the needle.

Went in to buy some piercing jewellery and get the piercer to change it for me. If I wasn't so determined for this service, the attitude of the lady at the front desk would have made me leave instantly. She had a really 'meh' and unhelpful attitude so I hope she was just having a bad day and that isn't her normal self. This was my third attempt at going to this place as they have been unexpectedly closed the last 2 times (tattoo expo was on) and the email response I received when asking when they were open again was also very unfriendly. Luckily the piercer was amazing so I was glad I pushed through the bad experiences. Very friendly, professional and helpful and was able to squeeze me in to change my jewellery. The jewellery is great quality and exactly what I was looking for.
