I HIGHLY DO NOT Recommend Caldek Sundeck Systems Inc. Guarantee/Warranty Issue. Caldek Sundeck Systems Inc. was hired to install a new deck and hand railing components in May of 2020. The rail components' production and installation were outsourced. They changed the structural design of the drawing without consulting anyone when the fabricated components arrived? The Patio Gate Hinges and Latch were originally installed in a sloppy, substandard (bare metal) state at first and were later replaced. Despite being fitted "backwards," the replacement hinges rusted after six (6) months. The Rust Problem was brought to their attention in May 2021. The problem has yet to be rectified despite repeated phone calls. Caldek Sundeck Systems Inc. continues to provide justification for its actions.

We had Caldex install Duradek on our backyard deck. From the estimate to the installation, everything was great. They were professional and provided a very competitive rate and did the job in a timely manner. The installers did a fantastic job and we are VERY HAPPY with our deck. We highly recommend the folks at Caldek.

I am writing this on June 19, 2018. I am very impressed with Caldeck. From the time I entered their show room and worked with the owners of the company. They helped me with all my deck, soffit and fascia selections and explained the pros and cons of the choices I was making . The price for all this work was fair. Their project co-ordinator Brian was easy to work with and he kept me up to date with where I was in the cue. Their carpenter did a great job on the finishing work and putting in the soffit and fascia. But I have to say, I was most impress with their dura deck installer Rick. He was incredible. He was very patient in his work. He paid great attention to detail, took his time to ensure that the job was not only done right but with tradesman perfection. I was impressed with this tradesman. He was very friendly, polite and easy to talk with. I spent the whole day with him watching as he meticulously did his job hour after hour. Caldeck did well by having Rick on their team. Thank you Rick....and I didn't mind you're singing as you worked Mike Gervais

Great company and a pleasure to deal with. Products of course are top of the line and install was flawless. They came to my house with all the samples and provided me a quote with a drawing and laid out all the options for me. I would highly recommend this company to whom ever is looking to get their deck done. You get what you pay for.

We paid a deposit in early August and Caldek said they were about 2 or 3 weeks out. Our job was small, ~$,6000. They finally sent a carpenter out to take a LOOK at our job after the Thanksgiving long weekend. At that time, it was determined that the estimator misquoted the job and our small deck project actually required a significant rebuild. The main issues found by the carpenter were things that I pointed out to the estimator and should have been obvious. Our revised quote was over $9,000 with GST, which according to one of the owners of Caldek was at cost. Customer service after Caldek took our deposit was awful. We had no idea when Caldek was actually going to show up. They blamed everything on the weather last summer, but our job was very small and could have easily been tarped. They also could have sent their carpenter out to look at our job on one of these many rainy days, but never did. We ended up having Canmore Duradek complete our job in Late October and early November. Our end product is great and their final bill was $300 cheaper than Caldek for identical work. If you are sold on Duradek, be warned that Caldek is expensive and has poor customer service. I would look to Canmore Duradek or All Season Decking out of Red Deer.

Took forever to get the job started, they came back once to fix a mess they left, I called them and sent them pictures when it was all finished, we had siding trim running right through our conduit, can't plug anything in. Never saw or heard from them again.
