I had this company design and build a two tier cedar deck with stairs and railings two summers ago and am very impressed with the result. Although the first crew on the job upset my neighbour (we had to bring everything in over their fence and through their yard) the second pair of men worked well with everyone and built a fantastic product. I would definitely recommend this company. They also got me in touch with a very good gasfitter and bathroom reno guy whom I used with success.

Excellent experience! Great design and the crews were polite, professional and on time. I have referred friends to them and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

These guys were cheaper than some of the competition, and I found out why. Composite decking has a UV protectant shell and if not cut properly exposes the inner core. They tried to justify not properly finishing the edges of the chamfer on my deck. Apparently half of 45 degrees is too hard to calculate. Luckily was I watching them and caught the mistake. When they said "that's the best we can do" I took some scrap boards and cut them to fit with my own saw. It took me 5 minutes. The worker said "Yeah, that is the proper way to do chamfer corners but our boss said to just do it the easy way". I was speechless. I seems the owners are just coasting and collecting their profits and cutting corners (literally). When I asked them to fasten the railing posts at two spots instead of one (a few more nails required), they called me crazy. I hate loose floppy railings and because the deck had two levels there was an opportunity to shore up the railing posts by nailing into both levels, instead of cutting off the posts and throwing the ends away. I had them redo three railing posts (I went to Home Depot to purchase three more posts) and the results are excellent. The resulting deck is very sturdy and will remain so for many years. Note no carriage bolts were used to connect the two deck levels, only nails. I will have to put in my own lag/carriage bolts rather than deal with being called "crazy" again. Only hire these guys if you are able to supervise them and make sure they don't try to "cut corners", or in their case improperly cut corners. Edit: July 21, 2015 The above post is a little negative, so I will clarify: I am not saying the railings they were installing were loose and floppy or not to code, just that I like extra sturdy railings. They would likely have been fine as is. What I didn't like was the attitude of the owners when I asked the installers to attach the posts in two places (at no extra cost to them). To their credit they did redo the posts as I requested. They also redid the chamfer joint as requested. My deck looks great and I look forward to many years of enjoyment.
