Terrible Experience. Is zero stars possible? I can't imagine they stay in business, but hear this warning in case they do stay in business. I hired Blue Sky to build a deck in the early summer. They were very slow to start and once they did, they seemed distracted. The crews would work 1-3 hours per day, and not every day. In Oct 2024, I was asked to pay the next milestone payment to bring the total paid to 80% of the contract. After that, they essentially disappeared. While they have been back to our place to fix multiple deficiencies on the framing, no work was ever completed on the decking or railings as of Feb 2025. For 80% of the price, I have just the frame. Shane (the owner) has made every excuse in the book. He promised to complete the deck by Feb 18th or he would credit back funds for outstanding work. When that date passed and no work even ever started, he went completely silent. No calls or emails. As if it couldn't get any worse, the subcontractor that put the piles in, has not been paid and will not produce the final report that the city needs to sign off on the permit.

Do NOT do business with this company. He took payment for labour and materials, his staff cut into a water line, tore our pool liner flooding our backyard and smashed our backyard lighting all with zero accountability... including payment for fixing or replacement. Shane shmoozes and the nice days are too nice to work and the cold snowy days are also not good for working. We had garbage left all over the backyard for days at a time, over the weekend...the layers of unprofessionalism are many including being ghosted. We only got the true reality of the state of affairs when we final went to his place of business only to bump into his landlord and found out that he was evicted. He has taken the money for labour and materials and disappeared. We have seen him complete a simple fence with composite and it was decent/ level. We will see how it stands up. Don't trust anything outside of the simplest work and no advance payments. I would even suggest sourcing your own material to reduce the risk.

amazing customer service and amazing end result. Contacted Blue Sky Deck and Fence and in no time they come out to take measurements etc. I received the quote in a timely manner and in less then a week from the original conversation they were out beginning the installation. Their team did an amazing job on the deck and we cannot thank them enough. We had reached out to multiple companies for quotes,others didn't respond and others had extremely high prices. They had the job done is less then a week and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for work. Thank you so much Justin
