Do not use, scam and nasty owner

Terrible work and person to deal with, all nice when he first came to see my parents deck, gave them a quote, they though he would stain the whole deck including railing, but he didn’t $1600 for 6 hrs and he rushed so much, when my mom said that kinda expensive for only the bottom deck only, then he said he’ll take them to court if they don’t pay, said nasty a things to my mom and he ran out like a bad outta hell after he got his cheque, do not use shady people

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

This guy came over gave a reasonable quote and then ghosted me for weeks. I blocked my number and got ahold of him and he told me my job was too small and he just didn't care and would get to it whenever he had time. Fast forward a few weeks again and after struggling to get ahold of him he sends me to a website to pick stains ever though he said he would stop by and go over options with me. There were only two options so I picked one and he waited another week and then told me my pick was garbage. So I told him we would go with whatever he recommended. Fast forward another week and a half and he texts me that my deck was too shoft , whatever that means and then stopped returning my messages when I asked what had changed in only a few weeks. This company is a joke and the owner was drunk on more than one phone call. DO NOT USE!!!!!

This guy is terrible to deal with. I called and he didn't show up when he said he would then out of the blue an Asian woman showed up at my door (I thought she was canvasing for the up coming election) so I didn't answer my door right away. The my girlfriend spoke to her to find out the "deckman" sent her to take photos of my deck. he finally got back to me late in the season when it had been raining off and on and getting cooler. He said he had a window of 3 days with dry weather. I did not receive a written quote just a number over the phone. Before I could cancel him due to the climate and wet wood he showed up with his tools and started to work. We discussed how many boards would need replacing and he said he would look after all that. He replaced 2 of the six boards that needed replaced and I watched him fasten the new boards with the old nails he pulled out instead of the deck screws I offered to him. He was in a rush and never removed all of the flaking stain from the deck prior to applying the new stain. Here are a couple of pics of his "two coats of stain" that he applied or said he did. I demanded a gallon of stain for me to "complete" the job next summer or I wasn't going to pay him. He showed up and told my girlfriend he was going to do the "touch ups". She said no leave the stain, gave him the cash, less the amount of a gallon of stain and sent him on his was cursing at her. Bottom line very un professional, shoddy workmanship and a fly by nighter. People beware you have been warned.

The proprietor of this company is completely disorganized. We contacted “Kim” in 2015 to refinish our deck, agreed to a price and a date, even gave him our can of stain for colour matching. He never came back, never returned our calls. Jump forward to May 2018, we needed deck services again and accidentally called this company. He came by again, agreed to a price and a start date. We realized after checking Google this was the same guy from 2015, so we called the next day leaving a message to cancel, we also called again and an upset woman called back, who we did confirm the cancellation with. Kim calls us several days after we cancelled stating he is in our driveway with the stain, even though even our initial agreement before the cancellation was the work would start 7 days later. We told him we had cancelled and why would he buy stain. He proceeded to curse at my mother on the phone. I went out the front door and confronted him about the completely unprofessional behaviour and the cursing. He just cursed some more at me and blamed me for his lack of organization. This guy is small potatoes. Every other company who we’ve had come out has given us a written estimate and has some online presence. “Deckman” seems like a ghost that just takes out adds in the Oakville Beaver, etc. Maybe he does good work? I have no idea. There is NO JUSTIFICATION for this man to be screaming the F word at anyone. Especially when his own lack of organization is the source of his frustrations. I rightfully demanded an apology from him via SMS, thinking perhaps he had a bad day and might realize that he made a huge mistake. No response to that. He’s also been made aware that if he is not to come on our property again for any reason as his behaviour was disturbing and frankly a little frightening.
