Terrible service and product knowledge. My project was delayed several weeks because the staff displayed an indifferent attitude to my order. The cabinet arrived with the drawers misaligned. Please avoid at all costs.

We purchased a complete set of custom built birch plywood cabinets, for our kitchen, from Homemax. We also purchased quartz counter tops from Homemax. Overall we were very happy. The cabinets and counter tops themselves are of high quality. The service level was very good. Elizabeth, the sales rep was very knowledgeable and very helpful. She monitored the status of the situation throughout the entire process. Sam, the installer was both skilled and diligent. Dickie and Andy, the counter top installers, did a fine job of fitting and installing in addition to cutting the holes for the faucets exactly where we wanted them. We did have a small issue with the measurements but Jonathon, the owner, who does the measurements himself was quite accommodating and we were able to work around it. Measurements in an old kitchen are actually quite difficult but are also extremely important. I would suggest that anybody buying cabinets check the measurements themselves with the supplier before any construction is done. If we need cabinets in the future, we will definitely go back to Homemax.

We are absolutely loving our new kitchen from Homemax. Their quality and price point was just right for us. Thank you to Elizabeth and Homemax for excellent advice and support for this DIY project! We will recommend Homemax to others, and will use them if we decide to redo a bathroom next year. The details? As a DIYer, I wanted good quality, ready-to-install cabinets preferably made out of plywood rather than particleboard, and made locally. Homemax has their own shop near their Vancouver showroom with high tech millwork machines to ensure dimensionally accurate and square cabinets. During my install, we were really impressed by the quality of build, and we know these cabinets will last a long time. And doors (also real wood - shaker style in our case) are also made at another local sub shop to your specifications and any coating you want. We needed some custom widths, hoping to avoid filler strips, so along with our preference for locally made plywood cabinets, we chose against a big box store solution, and Homemax provided the best value for the quotes we received. Elizabeth is a treat to work with. I am a fairly competent DIY'er and also had done a lot of research and self-design online. Elizabeth did the design work in their design program in a few minutes from my specs, then asked all the right questions both during the order & measuring phase, and any little tweaks needed while cabinets & doors were in production. This really helped to avoid pitfalls and allowed customization you would not get with an offshore cabinet shop; Elizabeth is a real expert at cabinetry and she takes care of all the communications with the shop, which is not really set up for customer service. We had several custom-width cabinets and doors to maximize our wall space; heavy duty full extension drawer slides (well worth the cost), light rails, etc. all dealt with through excellent regular communications with Elizabeth. We were happy with the cabinet service so decided to order our granite (Ubatuba) countertop from Homemax, while our cabinets were in work. This was the one thing I didn't want to install; so the countertop installation guys were scheduled once I told Elizabeth we were ready. They were very quick and professional, allowing me to do final fitment and sealing of our tight fit underslung sink as they installed the counter. The shop was fairly busy when we ordered, but they met the estimated delivery dates, with the main cabinets and countertop actually done early. We transformed our kitchen gradually over 2 months after order ripping/tearing, reno'ing, and installing, so we actually had a working kitchen the whole time, with cabinet and counter installation over the last 2-3 weeks of that time.

We ordered two bathroom cabinets from Homemax, and were so impressed with the service and quality that we went back to them for a quote on kitchen cabinets. They make everything locally out of high quality plywood, so their cabinets should stand up to many years of use. Mavis was really helpful throughout the whole process, working with us to refine the design, make sure everything would work, and answering many questions. We are delighted with how it has all turned out, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Homemax to our friends.

I have just renovated my kitchen and bathrooms and I am glad I went with Homemax. Very good customer service and quality.
