Not impressed at all. 3 out of the 4 pieces that were cut wrong. Instead of redoing the pieces. They tried to make them work. They also damaged new cabinets witch had to be replaced. This in my mind is a company you can not trust. If you do use this company please don’t pay them in full until work is completely finished and you are happy.

We had the same problem as Cam. We had a waterfall edge counter installed and one side was cut too long, they took it away to fix and then it was too short 3/4' on one end, then they tried filling the gap with clear caulking, horrible, then they tried to put a wedge in and darker caulking, the wedge was not the same width. A total disaster, now they are not returning our calls. I agree do not pay in full until you are absolutely happy. I would not recommend them at all!

We just had our kitchen countertop installed. The service was excellent from start to finish. I was referred to Euro Kitchen by a family member who was very satisfied with their installation. The staff was very helpful in answering my questions about colours and the various choices. The installers did a fantastic job! The price was really great too.

It didn’t have to go this badly. Arvid is a nice man but doesn’t understand how the manufacturing or install works, making him an awkward middle man with no answers to any questions. As hard as he tried, “I don’t know” is his go-to answer. Our kitchen has an existing stone backsplash and we were only replacing the laminate countertop with quartz - not an easy job, for sure. When the job was being measured, I asked whether it was too difficult to be done. Nope - no problems. When the countertop arrived for install. Lots of problems. First, our install day was pushed from Monday to Tuesday because “the truck broke down” Then Tuesday at 11 became 2 which became 6. Taking two days off work is tough. Then, the backsplash needed to be cut, the old countertop was more difficult than expected, the installers don’t do plumbing or electrical so someone has to come remove the sink / cooktop. WARNING: they don’t tell you any of this up front. It cost me $450 on top of the “install” fee they charge. Then, too boot, they couldn’t install the entire countertop because of an error on their part. They claimed they’d cut and install two days later. 7 days later and a dozen or so nagging calls (by me) later, they finished. When I went to pay the final bill I was charged an additional $150 because Arvid claimed they didn’t know there was a cooktop to cut even though it was on their original drawings AND it was cut out when the countertop arrived. This charge was added without asking or pointing it out. I happened to catch it when reviewing the bill. All up, my $3600 countertop cost me $5100. My recommendations: 1) shop somewhere else or 2) if you use them, get everything in writing - what you’re responsible for, what they’re responsible for, what’s included in the price, what’s not included in the price.

Wait till you read this!! Letter 3 - Euro This letter is in response to your letter to us dated March 6. We are absolutely willing to work with you to make sure everything is to our satisfation. However, this can be best accomplished by us coming to your location to go over all the details. We would appreciate if you could let us know when will be a good time. In the mean time, here are our suggestions of what needs to be done. First of all, there were 3 areas of challenges to do the countertop installation. These were: Your cabinetry not straightened, small wall was curved and your sink cabinet were poor design. Your dry wall was removed and replaced while using the old 2”x4” framework. Therefore the wall is not straight. If we do not cut the drywall, your new countertop will not be straight. This is common practice in the countertop industry. The solution to this is to install a backsplash. If you do not want to install a full height backsplash, we can install a 4” backsplash with the same material as your countertop. There will be an additional charge. You mentioned that the overhang on one side is too small. This again is due to the same reason as above. Your cabinets and wall are not straight, causing the overhang on one side being less than the other side. This is again something we can easily show you. To rectify this your cabinets have to be straightened. You also mentioned your sink is tilting inwards. This is because of the cabinet design. An apron sink needs a special design vs. an undermount sink.Again, the best way forward is for us to come out to your location to go over these details. Letter 4 - Me customer Thank you for responding to my previous e-mail regarding my countertop installation issues. Your letter suggests that you are absolutely willing to work with me to make sure everything is to your (our) satisfaction and that is exactly what your letter indicates. At no time in your reply did you mentioned that you were the least bit responsible for the unprofessional installation or errors of the countertop. This was also noticed when you first brought the countertop that had a chip in it that you were aware of and about to install except I brought to your attention that I did not order a countertop that had a double edge. Fortunately I seen the chip. It is with this knowledge that I can no longer do business with Euro Kitchen Bath & Countertop Gallery. I feel insulted and quite frankly appalled that you would suggest all 3 of my concerns are because of: (a) the wall not being straight, (b) poor design of the sink support and (c) the cabinetry not being straight. Perhaps you did not see the pictures of the cut out wall. The first piece of countertop which is the first 26” clearly show that the countertop is not recessed into the wall as I would have expected if it was not straight. As a matter of fact, the piece of drywall that was cut out, does not even touch the countertop! I was in the living room the entire time the installation was being done and if the installer had an issue he should have consulted the homeowner, don't you think? Prior to the countertop arriving, that apron sink was sitting square, level front, back, and side to side, in the area in which it was to be situated, for your information. The fact of the matter is the countertop is too tight at the front of the sink! I would suggest this is because you did not grind it out enough and I also think that piece beside the sink is not straight. This sink has always been in my design and when you came to measure you were quite aware of this. Lastly, the lack of overhang on the peninsula I would suggest is attributed to measurements, not because, as you would suggest, the cabinetry is not straight. Three sections of the countertop is 26" wide and the peninsula is only 24" wide. Once again, the installer should have consulted me prior to adhering the countertop in place, to see if everything was acceptable. A cheque for the full amount of my refund at the same time you remove the countertop is appreciated.
