Granite Ottawa - Countertops for Kitchens and Bathrooms

My father contacted Granite Ottawa for a vanity countertop in June 2023. They indicated it would take a week to a week and a half to be delivered. My dad paid the deposit, but almost a year later it has not been delivered. On multiple occasions they have said they would deliver the product but then they do not show up. The business is now ignoring our calls and emails. I would not trust this business with your deposit or to follow through with the job.

We used Granite Ottawa for our kitchen counter & island as well as 3 bathroom vanities in our newly built home 2yrs ago. We just used them again to install granite in our basement bar area . We are very pleased with the completed workmanship & would recommend them.

This guy is a scumbag and a thief. He was paid in full and led us on for over a year before we finally gave up on him. He took the money and never showed up to even take measurements let alone install the countertop. He repeatedly ghosted us after promising to show up on a certain day multiple times. I recommend you burn your money before you give him a dime because you'll get the same result.

Cody is unfortunately the epitome of a scam artist. He has not issues answering his phone or showing up to take your deposit making faluse promisses on future project deadlines. After we paid cody the downpayment for kitchen countertops he no showed no called multiple times per week. It's been over 3 weeks now and cody refuses to show up to the job sit to install or drop off our countertops or return our deposit. He is a an absolute pathetic businesses owner and Unfortunately a lying scam artist. If anyone knowns his shop address please post it so I can complete my police report for my clients stolen deposit.

A -10 (not a 1 star) STAY AWAY! WORST SERVICE EVER! Cody Lafontaine was everything but professional. When he came over for an estimate the first time, he was very nice and seemed like he knew what he was doing so we unfortunately did business with him. WORSE DECISION EVER! The nightmare started when he kept giving us installation dates and not sticking to it. We would call, message, email him but little to no answer was given to us! At some point we thought we got spammed, he took the deposit and ran away. But after a good 3 weeks of stress, he finally showed up (full of excuses), did the installation and the plumbing and everything was nice and seemed fine, however that's when our nightmare really started, we started having issues, the main pipe under the sink he installed was leaking and our dishwasher wasn't draining the water and it was accumulating inside it. We contacted him but he wasn't very friendly and said it wasn't his fault (of course it was we didn't have that issue beforehand) but eventually he sent us a co-worker who didn't know what he was talking about however he did fix the leaking by putting the white water tape (which should have been done during the installation, its basic knowledge). Anyway, we didn't bother any more with Cody and we had to fix that problem so we paid for a plumber who told us the problem was in the new piping that Ottawa Granite installed for us and that it had no hole (OMG) to push the dirty water out so it accumulated inside the dishwasher. The plumber trimmed the edges of the pipe (it was too long) to allow the water to go down and then our brand new dishwasher was working just fine. But just when we thought our nightmare was over, we found out our sink hasn't been under mounted well (refer to pictures). It wasn't glued properly so 1. the sink wasn't stable and is putting its pressure on the pipes and 2. water can go inside the cabinet and cause mold and permanent damage. So it had to be fixed as soon as possible. I unfortunately had to contact him to let him know about that BIG PROBLEM and of course, he pretended like he cared and said he will come and fix it which he, of course, DID NOT. My husband and I tried to call him and message him afterwards but we only got excuses at first and then no replies at all! So we will AGAIN pay for someone else to come and fix HIS ROOKIE MISTAKES. Guys! I don't wish that headache not even to my worse enemy. Go somewhere else, keep shopping and save your money, time and a tone of headache! If I would've seen 1 negative review before doing business with Ottawa Granite I wouldn't have bothered doing business with them. Or pay by CC cause I can guaranty you you will dispute it cause the service isn't as described or expected. Customer service is extremely important in my opinion and Ottawa Granite doesn't have it. And cherry on top, Cody had the audacity to say he barely made money with us, dude you quoted us, we unfortunately agreed and you screwed up! But we are the one who REGRET doing business with Ottawa Granite, it was a shame cause we love encouraging local businesses.
