Beautiful store, bogus management. They claim to be decorators but that just simply isn’t the case. The manager there has exquisite taste and is a total professional, but the owner is the absolute opposite. Here is my experience. I went in to look at some rug samples, from their very expansive selection. An associate greeted me and asked me what space I was looking to use the rug in and so on. We chatted briefly and she informed me that she was the store owner and that she had TONS of design experience and was featured in magazines all over the world. Well, I did my research and there is not one article or installation done by this woman. Despite the fact that I liked their rugs, I was so offput by her dishonesty. It speaks volumes of her personality. They should really provide customers with images or articles of work they have ACTUALLY done. Really unprofessional and just disappointing.

Love this store and the staff! I have been going to this store for years and love to get my family their birthday, Christmas, etc. presents here. They have a great selection of home goods, bath products, and lovely furnishings. There is also a nice selection of little trinkets for gifts or for kids. It’s almost always a truly lovely experience at this shop. The only bad experience I’ve had at Stowe Kitchen was, unfortunately, with the owner. A few of my friends have had some negative experiences with her as well. I went in to look at some rugs, and one associate asked if I had questions and I said no. Then, the owner came over and introduced herself and asked what size rug I was looking for. She was paisley pushy and borderline rude about ordering a rug that day - I hadn’t even taken samples home! At one point, her associate came over and asked a question to which the owner snapped. I was incredibly unimpressed with her and will avoid doing business with her. Fortunately, the store still has wonderful things to enjoy, and it is a genuinely unique place. It’s a must see in Stowe most certainly.

Make sure you budget about 2 hours to browse this store! There are so many great items for sale and you can easily buy Christmas presents for the entire family in one trip. Make sure you check out their special events, like knife sharpening and coming classes.

Huge shout out to Kate from Stowe Kitchen bath and linens. Excellent service, beautiful things and great prices. Kate the owner offered to drive me into town (In the middle of snow storm) I didn’t have a car because my boys went skiing and needed the car. I was going to take the shuttle bus but she was so nice to take me to drop off my things and into town. True class act. Favorite shop in the world. Highly recommend it. All the best Pamela.
