COUNTER TOP LEAKED AND WAS UNUSABLE --- THEY DIDN'T TEMPLATE IT EITHER The people at this company appear friendly but things went bad shortly after the purchase. After installation, within 5 to 15 seconds liquids would seep into the counter. After 20 minutes of using it we had a major red wine stain. When I told the sales person about this they said that the product was "factory sealed" and that this was "just the nature of the rock I purchased". He brought me a sealer that he said would last me some time and told ME to seal it once and it would be fine. It wasn't. I continued to correspond with them but they refused to offer any help on remedying the issue. After personally applying about 6 coats of sealant and performing several in depth stain removals the counter is now finally okay. It cost me about 20 hours and somewhere around $200 for sealer, applicants and stain removers. If you can find the same stone somewhere else, I recommend spending the extra money and avoiding this company. As an aside they had to cut into the wall and add spacers when they installed. I asked if they had templated it and they said yes. I later confirmed with my cabinet installer who was there at the time they had taken the measurements that the guy never templated but just measured from corner to corner and said it was square. This is hardly every the case in an old house and it is expected that granite should be templated before installing.
