Remarkable experience - in a bad way. Ordered a transom arch. They measured, discussed design and then delivered Late. Very late. First one didn't fit. Replacement very much later - that didn't fit either. Neither matched the spec. Promised repairs over and over, with a wide wide range of excuses when they didn't materialize. ("Away on vacation" (twice), seriously one guy blamed his partner's Alzheimer's, others were just empty promises to call back) In the end, I ended up with a far less than satisfactory result, a design fix for which was provided by a competitor, that we then paid someone else to fabricate, and an end result which we will ultimately have to replace. I had provided a 50% deposit so was on the hook. Have ultimately paid for the whole thing - but the second half went to other vendors who did a phenomenal job. The actual craftsmanship of the welds and the fittings was quite good, but the design and fabrication were fatally flawed - and barely functional.

Built an arch for my sailboat 10 years ago and it still performs and looks like new. I must admitt I abused the heck out of it but to no avail. Rock solid! Highly recommend!

waited 2 months for a small modification to my microwave trim after being told 1-2 weeks. also on top of that he said it would only cost $50-60 bucks, when i went to pick it up he charged me $160.00 plus tax. THIS GUY IS A REAL PIECE OF S____! be careful i recommend you try elsewhere.

Got estimate from John fairly quick but after that it was all promises and no work didn't even begin. Had to go to another place to get my railings done.

I broke a rudder and was left with only insanely expensive options for repair. A fellow sailor suggested I should visit Stainless Outfitters and see if they could devise a solution. They centered a new post on part of the old post, put in tangs that were fiberglassed in to add structure and rigidity to the rudder assembly. The new assembly fit perfectly. It has been 5 years since, and I have 0 complaints. I would deal with SO anytime!
