My wife loved this place and I found the woman working there really helpful and friendly. She knew a lot of interesting background to the dies they carry but didn't bother us while we browsed. I'm a photographer and always enjoy the contrasting colors in shops like this.

There are so many beautiful items here it’s hard to concentrate! The textiles are captivating. And my husband enjoyed the book selections also.

Maiwa has always been one of my favourite places to find natural woven fabrics and comfortable clothing for my causal days off. I love the feeling in the shops on Granville Island. The affordability of life long garments is a huge plus for my budget as well. The stories behind how the prints are created by hand is a major pull for how I live every day. Locally designed and hand made by people you can get to know! If you need some linen or cotton in your life, this is the place to go!
