Great service, locally owned.

We've had many jobs done at Glenwood Draperies, most recently, our dining room chairs. They have a vast array of fabric choices. More important though, is their product knowledge and the fact that their high quality work is done on site. Louis is a delight to work with!

Visited the good folks at Glenwood draperies to pick up a Kirsch curtain transverse rod for my living room. Very hard to find the Kirsch rods in Winnipeg but Glenwood had them in stock. While at Glenwood we asked if they made blackout curtains and were pleased to discover that they did and had the perfect blackout lining for our needs and a large selection of material to choose from. We were fortunate to have a chap named Louis helping us. He's definitely a pro who is very knowledgeable about draperies and drapery products. My wife with Louis' assistance picked out her preference in curtain material but had difficulty deciding on a colour. Louis suggested she take a sample book with the colours home so she could decide. Before leaving the store we got a rough estimate for living room and master bedroom curtains. Once we decided on the colour Louis came out and measured for both sets of curtains and gave us a written estimate. We were very pleased with the reasonable price, and the quality of workmanship and material used. Louis gave me some pro pointers in installing the curtain rod which were very helpful. When we hung the curtains we were immediately impressed with the look and the way they hung. After a few weeks we noticed that the new material smell was not going away and was becoming annoyingly stronger. We contacted Louis at Glenwood and he came to our home to investigate. Louis explained that he would make it right and asked what I wanted. We were so pleased with their product that I explained we just wanted the new material smell out of the curtains. Glenwood laundered both sets of curtains at no charge and we rehung them. We closed both sets and went on a three week trip and when we returned the new material smell was gone. It was very comforting to know that Glenwood was prepared to do what it takes to satisfy us. You never really get to know how good a company, service provider or salesman is until you you have a problem with their product or service and must rely on them for a solution. Glenwood Draperies is top notch in my book, they stand behind their products and workmanship. I recommend them without reservation.

I needed some parts for my drapery rod. I took it in, and as soon as this Louis fellow saw it he knew exactly what I needed... Now that's a person who knows his stuff. Thanks Louis...
