If rating was lower I would check it!! We spent 2 years looking for Canadian Made, quality furniture. Boy was I wrong!!! Less than 5 years the leather on the 3 seats starting peeling off bad. Despite this being top grain leather, it was not supposed to peel but low and behold it does. Decor Rest quotes.... ( Decor-Rest Furniture Ltd. A leading Canadian manufacturer of fine upholstery – we take great pride in making furniture that will last for generations) What a friggin lie that is. Also the leather is not from Canada, it comes from an Asian Country. Another thing, Decor Rest does not deal with the public, they leave it up to the seller to do the dirty work. They don't stand by their words. Now the furniture store offered a new couch and chair which we have to put out $1000.00's more. DON'T BUY FROM DECOR REST THEIR A BUNCH OF LYING DISHONEST THIEVES. I KNOW I WON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!

Here is the short version of our experience with Decor-Rest. It makes me terribly angry to read this sentence on their website: “We strive to provide not only an exceptional customer service but also quality products…..” We have owned a loveseat, sofa bed , chair & ottoman (in fabric) made by Decor-Rest for over 17 years and have been fully satisfied with their furniture. We recently decided to update our living room furniture with a more stylish leather sofa. After shopping for weeks for this new piece of furniture we made the decision to keep it “Canadian Made” and decided to purchase the sofa through our local furniture store in S. Delta B.C. and stick with Decor -Rest. What a mistake this was !!! We purchased and ordered the leather sofa style 3855 on June 20, 2018. Our choice selection was made from a catalogue; rather limited as a few sofa styles in leather were already being phased out . We were assured by the owner of the store of the high quality of the leather that Decor-Rest used. We spent over $ 2,400. 00 for this condo sofa. The sofa was delivered on July 24th. It was only after sitting on it that we realized how uncomfortable and slippery the leather was…to the point that it was impossible to sit relaxed on it without sliding down and off the sofa. We tried to rationalize that it would take time to adjust to the texture of leather but unfortunately it has not been the case. The texture of the leather felt more like plastic than quality leather. We contacted the owner of the store and expressed our disappointment. We were asked us to follow up with an e-mail to Decor-Rest manufacturer to explain in detail the reasons for our dissatisfaction with their leather sofa. . Their response was that there was nothing wrong with the style of the sofa and /or the leather. Needless we were outraged ! Following this response from Decor-Rest numerous conversations took place with the owner of the store; the only solution offered to us was they were willing to take the custom made sofa back with a restocking fee equal to 50 % of the purchase price. We knew by then that we couldn’t be happy with this sofa in our home and decided to accept the offer from the store. The sofa was then picked up and as a result we found ourselves without a sofa and a shortfall of $1229.00 . Tough lesson to learn for retired people who wanted to encourage a local business and keep it “CANADIAN MADE”. RECOMMENDATION DO NOT BUY LEATHER FURNITURE FROM DECOR-REST Sir: Unfortunately this suggestion wasn't offered to us following our complaint dated September 12, 2018 which was forwarded to you from the retail store . Here is the reply that was received by one of your staff members. FROM : Ornella Guida Sent: Thursday, September 13, 2018 7:16 AM Subject: FW: Sofa   Good morning,   We have been selling the Visa leather for over 3 years now.  Slippery leather is not a manufacturer defect.     Here is the information on Visa latte:   EUROPEAN RAW HIDES TOP GRAIN CORRECTED LEATHER, CHROME TANNED AND SEMI-ANILINE DYED RECOMMENDED FOR HIGH TRAFFIC   NOT A VERY SATISFACTORY REPLY AFTER SPENDING $2458. 00 FOR A CONFO SOFA.   As I mentioned previously , we are no longer in possession of the sofa. We reluctantly returned the item to the retail store, accepting the term of the contract of a restocking fee equal to 50% of the purchase price of $2458.00 WITHOUT A DOUBT A VERY TOUGH FINANCIAL LESSON!

I went into the Decorest showroom on Chrislea Drive with my 10 week old daughter in a stroller interested in their sofas. The lady at the front desk told me I couldn't purchase anything there unless I was a designer or went to one of their retailers; she wouldn't tell me any of their retailers but allowed me to look around essentially confused. She was completely unhelpful and basically treated me like an outcast not speaking with me again or finding anyone to assist me; and then watched me struggle to get my stroller in and out of their doors. The face of this company should be a friendly and helpful person. I'm sorry to say that they've lost my business.
