We received excellent customer service from our sales associate. She was friendly, professional and quite knowledgable in helping us pick out our fabric. Would recommend to others and return for sure.

Very rude. It was not an issue of price. My sister and I went in to purchase fabric and were treated as if we were a bother and that we were not welcome in the store. I do not know if the person was the owner or not, but I will not be returning there.

I can appreciate high-end fabrics such as hand-beaded and European laces and silks, and understand that these often run at up to $600 a metre (and sometimes more). I knew going into Maryan's that it was a high-end fabric store, but was hoping to find some cottons or linens, that are generally sold for less than lace or silk. I was appalled to see that they were selling Liberty cottons for $100/m - Liberty cottons are the same everywhere, and anywhere else in the city you can get them for $45-50/m. The solid, plain-weave linens were running at $100/m as well (yes they were from Italy, but I've certainly seen high-quality linens at a lower cost). I didn't even bother looking at anything else. The shop is well-organized and clean, with a beautiful selection, but unless you're looking for hard-to-find highest-end lace, I would take a look somewhere else.
