This place is like a live edge candy store! I've been systematically replacing all of the tables in our restaurant with their wood. It started with cherry, then black walnut, white oak, elm, Italian olive wood, and most recently African bubinga. It has become a bit of an obsession, with other plans for a live edge bar, counter tops, and additional seating for 45 as we double our square footage. Many thanks to Halifax Specialty Hardwoods for bringing so much beauty into our home and business. Every slab is truly one of a kind, and will last a lifetime :)

Good selection of material in various species and formats. Back-end shop is very busy, so if you are looking for materials to be cut or prepped, better plan ahead. Very comprehensive selection of wood at reasonably competitive prices. If you can’t find what you want here, it is likely not available locally,

The staff at HSH always go out of their way to help me out. I've stopped going to other places for hardwood and recommend HSH regularly.

Good selection of hardwood in a variety of sizes. Staff was happy to let me wander and look without making me feel like i was pressured. Plan to go back for future hardwood needs.
