Used SL Hardwoods for the first time - very helpful and friendly, from ordering on the phone (Jana was really quick to come back to me) to the welcoming reception I received from the young chap when I came to pick my sheet goods up. As well as loading them in to my car, he took the time to show me their workshop and cutting equipment too - very impressive. They can cut to your own cutting list to an accuracy of 0.5mm apparently - I'm yet to check it but I have no reason to doubt it. Great to find a supplier of good quality materials that seems to have a genuine passion in what they do.

Wanted some planks cut to size for a weekend diy project. Came here and I was amazed. Friendly staff, smiling. Excellent service and quality of goods. Good prices. Highly recommended! Good job guys. Keep it up!

Been going here for some years now, primarily for boat building timber. They always have plenty of good quality stock with a good range of species, and are happy to take special orders for longer lengths which I often require. Good prices too, around a third cheaper than the supplier I used to use and rather easier to deal with. I'm a big fan of their own brand Rhino polyurethane adhesive too, cheaper than the big name brands and just as good if not better. Just putting together a list for my current project and looking forward to paying a visit to collect it!
