The shipper in the office seemed to be unhappy for doing nothing just waiting to clock out -he should appreciate he has a good pay job. The forklift driver -uneducated talks to truck drivers like he is an army general and swears at all times. He loves to ask truck drivers to rip the tags of the wood packages, that he was loading in order to give them to the shipper to process the paper work -big safety concern for truck drivers as these are oversize palettes. It is my impression this is his job to reap and keep tracking of the tags to give them to the receiver no a truck's driver job. Why he does not use a scanner or a piece of paper and pen?? It is understandable he needs to cross a point of safetiness, but this can be done without being rude, yelling or condenceding or being a red neck. If all these rules are in place why these are not in writing, agreement or put it in a video. It is my impression these are his own rules to ease his job. The receiver -Mike and the forklift need some soft skills training and manners to learn, if they are tired or boring for doing the mindless job then they should think seriously to resign. It it is a predictable behaviour when these workers are belong to an union. They do not care as they are protected by the union despite of using foul language and treat drivers like animals (without any respect or professionalism). If this would be a private company these type of actions and behaviour will never be allowed or tolerated. It would be an automatically fired.
