Had to get a out of province inspection. They fixed my rear shocks but then they said they couldn't balance the tires. That my car kept wanting to go to the right. It was my tires, even though I had bought new tires less than 3 weeks ago somewhere else. They said for 120.00 they could take them off the rims and switch the tires as I had directional tires. I called my husband and instead took it to the place we bought the tires from. They deemed the tires to be good. We then went to another place and had a out of province inspection and did not tell him we had one done somewhere else and he found no issues. So in other words they were trying to make stuff up to get more money from me. I won't be back and will go to a more honest shop.

Aside from the automotive service department, I’ve always been a fan of Canadian tire. I have had outstanding service at this one almost every time I’ve visited this north side store. Whether it’s getting a rain check or hororing a price of an item that’s on an expired sale, or going above and beyond to find exactly what I’m looking for, I’m always satisfied and impressed with the customer service. I have also nothing but good things to say about the south side location.

The lady in the outdoor garden place was incredibly helpful and friendly. Its so rare and nice to have someone knowledgeable about plants. The store is very well laid out, has a great stock and is clean when I have been. I find the north location so much better than the south when it comes to wider range of items and more in stock items.

I try not to visit this location. I was well dressed, parked my truck in a regular spot instead of disabled (even though I have tags for disabled), I put everything back WHERE IT BELONGED if I changed my mind on buying something, I even bought an expensive tool among other things, and they picked me out to check my purse like I was a thief. I was probably the most honest customer that location at the time. I should have refused on principle, but I was so shocked, it didn't really occur to me the fact that they thought I was a thief. I tried to figure out why. The only thing I can say to future shoppers, is have your phone out of your bag BEFORE you go in, and certainly don't take your time comparing prices and products. Get your stuff and get out, or you may be singled out too.

Great store. Helpful staff. Very easy to go through the self check out. Bought a set of 4 truck tires here last year for a 4x4 truck, and was talked into the extended warranty for $56. 15000 km later I destroyed one tire, and all 4 were replaced. Great warranty.
