Awesome, awesome, awesome.... Jen in auto department went above and beyond to get me an alternator for my 35 year old motor home. I was fine to wait until next day when the first one that came in was a dud. She kept digging until she found one for us the same day and got us going again on our Holliday. Thanks loads, you guys are so helpful. Michael

We had a gentleman come over immediately, after requesting for some help to get some keys cut. We had 3 keys cut, and wait for this, yes, all 3 keys worked! That seems rare these days. We also shopped for a couple more items and got through the till quickly with friendly service. No complaints here.

Great sale prices and great selection! First rule of Canadian Tire is don't ever buy anything when it's full price, pretty well everything goes on sale at some point. The Canadian Tire app is great for setting sales alerts via email prior to the sale date, and they honor the sales price a day or two ahead as well. Have never used the mechanical service department so cannot comment on that. All in all, one of my favourite stores for darn near anything!

TERRIBLE. I bought a lawn trimmer 12 days ago. Went to return/exchange it because it wasn't going to work for me. They said they could not do it unless it was defective but they could exchange the cord. Very patronizing, bordering on rude. First I apologized for the hassle that they were obviously going through in looking things up, but by the end i was done with this place for good. I will probably never go back. You can't return an item there within fourteen days, unless you lie and say it doesn't work. Stupid me for being honest. I was patronizingly told that they would "sacrifice the price of the cord" for an exchange/refund but not the trimmer. I had no room for a trimmer or cord I didn't need, and no patience left (see why below) so I said they can keep them both and left it on the counter to go to the other line up to get the one I needed, which I hadn't been told was ready for pickup (but asked about after waiting days) This took 45 minutes and five people. On top of that, I'd ordered a model that would work for me online almost a week prior. No email confirmation but my credit card charged and processed (complete transaction not just a hold) It was only after the ordeal of trying to exchange the first trimmer for the one I could use that they told me I had to go stand in another line to pick up the one that they'd charged my card for. I know I just 'threw away' $80 but if they have any shred of honesty they'll refund the charge on my credit card, considering I left the receipt for the one they wouldn't take back along with the trimmer and cord sitting on their counter. Honestly after that much hassle to ME, it was worth it to just leave and get on with my day. I wanted to add that I will not renew my roadside assistance through this company either. They are not the South Red Deer Store but that location has ensured I will probably never give another Canadian Tire, anywhere, my business.

Went in to find a small anchor, found two staff members to ask where they were. The female staff member with reddish hair seemed very annoyed that we stopped to ask her a question. We tried showing her a picture of what we needed and she cut us off saying they don’t sell them...? The gentle man with her (East Indian with white hair) was nice and trying to be helpful and told us which isle to go to, and she was clearly annoyed and snapped and pointed to the isle we needed to go to and walked away angerly. Very unacceptable behaviour and turned us off completely. We left right away and went to Home Depot where they were very helpful and friendly.
