Walked in to the store with my backpack. Just moved in to Dawson, I am a nurse, and I was looking to buy cheap furniture for my new apartment. Canadian Tire worker approached me and asked me to leave my backpack in front of the store because it s a "store policy". I noticed that people with handbags were walking in the store uninterrupted. So I left the store and called the manager. The manager explained to me that people with backpacks steal more than people with handbags therefore people with backpacks are discriminated against. Because if you are in feet and have a backpack you are poor and you are more prone to stealing. Felt "wonderful" to be treated like that. The manager sounded indifferent and I absolutely do not recommend shopping at that store. I certainly won't.

Big shout out to Canadian Tire in Dawson Creek tonight. They really helped us out when Grande Prairie Canadian Tire wouldn’t. I wish I remembered the names of the two ladies at customer service. You gals are fantastic! 😘😘😘

Very organized store. Friendly staff and quick checkout. Shop there often. Their ap is very helpful as it gives locator for items. Also you can shop from the ap and pick up items in store. Will use often.

The store was very busy on a beautiful spring day. There were lots of cashiers working and the person who helped us was very friendly and efficient. They were setting up the garden centre as well. I've always found this location to be one of the best I've ever visited and I recommend it highly.

I found everything i was looking for. I did noticed the firearms section was limited. That is understandable as there is massive competition just up the road that specializes in hunting and target shooting.
