Great store. Great service. Local and wonderful.

I have been a customer of Meanley's since 1962. Knew the owners and found them and their staff very friendly and accommodating to this date. Always new merchandise and interesting objects. Best hardware store, well stocked.

Meanley's is a small treasure of a hardware store located in a fashionable La Jolla district. They seem to have anything one needs, even if only remotely related to hardware, paints, and maintenance. Whether you require a 10 cent bolt or a $500 paint order, the staff will cheerfully help you find what you need. Furthermore, the large staff, all professionals, take care of you immediately as you enter the store and are very generous with good advice. This is important to "do it yourselfers" as myself for whom every household project is a new learning experience.

This place is the best. Well stocked and very friendly and helpful.

My car broke down nearby, and because they were unable to sell me the product to boost my car they let me borrow it at no cost. Five stars isn’t really enough to describe the interaction I had with them. They let me come in with my dog, and took the time to test, explain, and let me borrow a product even though they were not able to make any money from the interaction. They clearly care more about people than profit.
