The staff at Slegg Building Materials treat you like family. They are congenial, eager to help, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I recently had a couple of home improvement emergencies, let’s just say that there are some things things an individual should wait until a more knowledgeable individual can assist. Sleggs staff were extremely flexible with my lack of plumbing familiarity/experience and took considerable time to assist and educate me on what NOT to do and the necessary equipment and materials required. They were extremely patient and understanding when I didn’t heed their advice and refunded/exchanged my multiple attempts to find the correct bathroom tap for my RV (Moen product) and did not cajole me when I blew up the the tap and shot x number of gallons of hot water 6 ft in the air causing a significant flood! Yes, I did disconnect the hose, but was unaware of the pressure built up in the waterline. I highly recommend Slegg Building Materials for your building/hardware needs.

Enter the yard with your vehicle. No staff to assist. Multiple signs saying to call the store for assistance. Call the store from my truck inside the lumber yard. Put on hold. Opened homedepot app. Ordered material online. Left sleggs. Picked up lumber at home depot.

Called and asked about edging accessories and they were not very helpful when I asked if they had any. I asked and they immediately said no without even checking. Single word answers, do you have any materials -“no” and if they know anywhere that might have any - “nope”. Not helpful at all

Selection is smaller than some of the other stores, but prices are good for contractors and there is a decent tool selection these days. Trim prices are pretty good as well. Staff are all generally friendly and helpful and there are usually a high number of employees around for any questions.

Great service! Worth coming back! Better than other big box stores.
