I come to these guys with all sorts of things, sometimes with very spicific requirements or just not a common item. They are always glad to help and give it their undivided attention. Great service.

Ordered some MTD lawn mower parts there. Good customer service.

Jul 17, 2013
So let me warn you right off the bat.......beware of dealing with this business! They do not stand behind the product they sell, and their customer service stinks. I purchased a Husqvarna lawn tractor there in late 2009. Got a few mows in before the end of the season. Noticed right away that the unit seemed built cheaply but boy was I ever going to find out just how cheap. Near the end of 2010 something seemed wrong......having trouble starting and especially with the mower driving forward. So in 2011, I finally get around to taking it in only to find out the whole transmission/rear wheel assembly had broken away from the frame. I was told we have never seen this before......but don't worry there is a kit for this problem. Right away you know if there is a kit, this is a known problem. So I waited to have this kit installed......I was over a month with no mower. No they don't have loaners I was told. The attitude was quite frankly.......you bought it, too bad. I had to keep phoning and asking what was happening.....when was I going to get my mower back. Customer service seemed non existent. So kit was installed and I was mowing again, I thought, well at least that is behind me. But guess what....the nightmare of owning a Husqvarna lawn tractor just gets worse. This spring the frame breaks again right where the kit reinforcement ends. And just to mention, I am mowing a typical lawn......flat in some areas, sloped in others. But I guess Husqvarna movwers are not up to a regular lawn. So I took the mower back in. I waited 3 weeks only to find out that nothing has been done........yep that is Northern Industrial Supplies idea of customer service. So then I start getting more vocal....the new manager tells me he is on my side and will help. I actually began to believe it for a bit. Over the next few weeks I keep phoning....it looks good I am told....eventually I am even told by the manager that he has to schedule the installation of a new frame with the mechanic. I wait some more. Long story short.........I call again and finally after over 6 weeks, then I am told nothing can be done, Husqvarna feels they have already put a kit on that mower.......what more should a customer want? And Northern Industrial Sales won't fix it either. So after paying almost four thousand dollars for this piece of junk, I get 3 summers of mowing.......and when it was at Northern Industrial Sales, they don't supply a loaner or any other help. So it seems these two businesses think I am being unreasonable to expect anything different. So if you want a decent dependable riding mower.....stay away from Husqvarna and stay away from Northern Industrial Sales . Both of these organizations don't care about customers.......they care only about getting your money and after that you are on your own. I have nothing to gain by posting this review....my only motivation is to warn the next sucker that might be ripped off by this outfit.
