Best services in all of North Vancouver. Mr.Fred is a highly skilled computer expert. Highly recommend everyone to check it out.

I would not recommend having any electronic device "fixed" by this novice who learns his business by practicing and trial/error on customers property. His knowledge is from google. His experience is based on learning in-store. His pricing quotes will not be honored. He knows as much as any person does about uninstalling windows and reapplying it to remove viruses and basically you are paying cash unless you have a credit card whereby he charges you what he thinks he can $10 extra which is illegal. Once you pay cash or debit you can't get your money back and will be bringing your electronic devices in again and again bc he does not know what he is doing and has no education. He can sell refurbished items and uninstall windows. That's it. I got fooled by his 20 positive reviews but most likely they were from 20 customers who got a discount for their trouble.

I have been dealing with Fred at the Computer Depot for many years and have found him to be personable and helpful. His advice has generally been timely and accurate. He has on occasion been able to troubleshoot over the telephone. The service has been reliable and a reasonable cost. When he has been able, he has matched prices of parts from "Big Box" stores and has always been willing to install parts purchased elsewhere. I would highly recommend this service

Made up some b.s. about viruses and then charges me 200 dollars for updating to Windows 10 which I could have done myself. Told me it was the hard drive, then changed his mind and said he fixed it. Fixed an ssd? Well, took my computer to someone else who right away said video card and that previous guy didn't know what he was talking about. These positive reviews are probably friends and family. Stay away. Don't get fleeced like I did.

Fred has been my go-to-guru since I moved to North Van in 2009. He has been my techie paramedic, so to speak. No matter what the crisis (and there have been several), Fred has calmly and competently guided me out of crashes and viruses, and all those catastrophes that hit when least expected and least timely. This was especially helpful when I was self-employed. In addition, I have bought software and hardware from Fred at excellent prices. I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone to Fred and, indeed, have done so!
