Horrible customer service - I’ve been to tech mania three times now and my experience has been nothing but a waste of time and money. When I had my IPhone repaired the first time it was my own fault obviously from breaking it so .I left my phone with the repair guy and picked it up later that day, I got a NEW screen and casing and he also recommended me getting a New battery at some point in the future due to swelling this probably would affect the life of the battery but he Failed to mention that this would damage my NEW screen , so not knowing that bit of important information I decided to wait and see how bad the battery was being that I’m due for an upgrade in a couple months . After a week the life of the battery had gotten much worse (my fault for not getting a new battery) but on top of that however the lower bottom part of my brand NEW phone screen began not working so this is where I start to get fusteraed, I was not warned at all that this could potential damage the screen and because it wasn’t cracked I didn’t qualify for the warranty, so now I’m out the money I just spent on the NEW screen repair and obviously refuse to pay again because had I known it would damage the NEW screen I would have got the New battery at the same time , I did end up getting a so called “new battery” after it damaged my screen that’s given me nothing but problems , dying on full charge and restarting on its own! I called in today to speak with the phone repair guy and I’m told he’s busy and cannot come to the phone atm so I ask if I can come in and get my battery changed for a new one after work and that I could be there by 530 pm because I wouldn’t be off work until 5 and I would be coming from Halifax , he says yes no problem. I got there just before 5:30 (few minutes Earyler then expected) and I go in looking to see the repair guy only to be told he’s not here sorry You just missed him and askes me to leave it with them as if I wanted to comeback a fourth time . They completely wasted my time and gas getting there. I went to tech mania because they had the cheapest phone repair prices and it ended up costing me more in the long run. If you are thinking of getting repairs here, don’t, I highly recommend you pay the extra and go else where.
Reply - How is apple at fault when it was a NEW screen your guy put in? I clearly accepted fault for not getting a new battery but that’s because I was only aware it would affect the battery life not my brand New screen, had I known it would Damage the New screen you guys put in I would have bought a NEW battery right away I only refused after it broke my new screen because it was your guys fault for not warning me being you are the “experts”! I’m not going to pay twice when it could have been avoided by a simple warning Very unprofessional on your end and unless your willing to do right and fix it for free ,no thanks I’m not wasting any more money with your business and on another note if you guys don’t except appointments you should say No when someone askes instead of YES I clearly stated I wasn’t off work until 5 that’s why I showed up just before 5:30 I wasn’t late and it proves your unprofessionalism it’s not smart to talk to your customers like that. if your repair guy had to leave a simple phone call could have saved me a drive from Halifax to Cole Harbour regardless you guys still sold me a dissfunictonal battery that doesn’t work which there is no excuse for!
