Good store layout, can always find what I'm looking for, helpful staff. Nice to have Marks Work Warehouse there too.

Big store, easily laid out, however, there is one particular gentleman down by automotive, who severely lacks customer service. You are there to help people find what they are looking for and answer questions, you have chosen to work customer service and with the public...no one made you do it. Good customer service goes a long way. This particular individual has done the same to me in the past, but I brushed it off as maybe he had a bad day...or maybe I was over reacting....until today when he did it again. I was asking about assorted packs of sandpaper, and said I needed 600,1000 & 2000 grit...and i was hoping i could find them in an assorted package if possible so I didnt need to buy them individually @ $5/pack (knowing if they didnt have the assortment, I had no choice) he kinda laughs under his breath and says "well if I dont have the assorted packs in those gritts, I dont have the assorted packs..." very rudely...I said "well obviously...I was just wondering if I'm not looking in the right spot" it wasnt like I was asking him to make me up my own package with the gritts I needed. He talked to me like i was some idiot woman who didnt belong in the automotive section because I dont have a clue what I'm talking about. I thought about it the whole way home weather or not I wanted to call management and let them know about his lack of customer service skills...and decided to call. The manager has mentioned he would speak to the individual (before I even gave him a description....which makes me believe he isnt going to take this serious, but we sha'll see!) Also mentioned he should check these reviews, because I'm not the only one apparently who's had an issue with this stores customer service. Pathetic!

One of the automotive parts counter service employees at this store is ridiculous. A mope who can hardly form a sentence and has zero sense of urgency made the simplest of orders an unbearable and unnecessarily long experience. He doesn’t wear a name tag so I can’t even tell you who to avoid, but 20 seconds into a conversation with him you’ll know who I’m talking about. Management needs to deal with their problem employees. I will never return to this store for automotive/parts service as a result of 4 visits and 3 weeks trying to order brake pads for my car, only to wait 25 minutes to have him figure out how to find the inventory and ring it in, when I was the only customer at the counter.

Found a item in clearance that wasnt priced yet, the tags were next to the few items on a trolley. Manager was called to assist me and I was advised I might have to wait 10 minutes to see him about pricing. When he arrived he took the item from me and said it was on hold for someone else then walked off. I was so shocked I didnt have time to react. No apology for the confusion, no apology for making me wait. Richard Chapman was the manager, a staff member agreed he was wrong and that I could make a complaint justifiably.

The store has an odd layout which makes it somewhat difficult to find the asile you're looking for. I specifically went in search of a youth sized lifejacket, as I had been on the Canadian Tire website and saw one on clearance that this location had 10 of in stock. They had 0 out on the floor, it took almost 10 minutes to hunt down a staff member on the floor, and when I found the staff member she made it known through her tone and expression that she was not overly happy at having to help me. She did eventually find my item out back, after another 10-15 mins of waiting, we paid and left. I would suggest only going to this location if you are already familiar with the store and know exactly where the item you want is...if you require any sort of help I would go to another location.
