The items carried by this store are amazing. While the store itself is pleasant and well laid out, you really need to go onto their website and browse the staggering number of items for all your hobby, gardening and hardware needs. Its the only way to get a truly good understanding of what they carry. Many times I simply go on the website and search for my items and then make a list with the item number. This is a quick way to compile your order. I then go into the store and hand it to a clerk you puts the order together. A lot of times the items are small and they do not keep them on the floor. You can also order online and every once in a while they have free delivery. Its worth getting on their mailing list for catalogues and email updates such as the free delivery sale or the limited sale items that you would not know of otherwise. If your a woodworker and like hand tools there is no other place than Lee Valley Its like dying and going to hand tool heaven. The Veritas brand they manufacture and sell is very high quality so expect to pay a premium. They payoff is highly precise engineered tools that you can hand down to the next generation. The staff are extremely knowledgeable in their field of expertise and will educate you beyond anything you can get at a big box store or even your local hardware dealer. Particularly in hand tools and their best use. They also hold seminars with professional that goes further in-depth as to the use of these tools for your hobby needs.

This was the seminar "Carve a Canoe Paddle". It was a great experience. My second seminar at Lee Valley, another success. The instructor was the owner of Carlisle Canoe Company, Roger. Clearly an expert, he kept his promise that every attendee would leave with a beautiful finished paddle.

The service is awesome, their products are high quality, and they allow dogs in their stores :) Thanks for helping me setup my garden irrigation system.

This place is awesome. I am new to whittling and was looking to add to my tool collection and get a strop for knife sharpening. There is so much there to see. I spent almost a hour wandering around looking at whatever they had. They have many displays of various tools toys woods etc etc etc. The gentleman who helped me was very friendly and helped me track down what I was looking for. Though I didn't get everything I wanted due to no stock but it's not the end of the world. I noticed that this location has seminars throughout the year for many different classes. Which the gentleman who helped me gave me their seminar pamphlet and informed me that the classes were very popular and they tend to fill up quickly. I am definitely going to look into a seminar myself as there are many different options to choose from. I will definitely be going back to Lee Valley. I am very happy with the service I received and encourage others who are looking to pick up a new hobby to just walk in and check it out.
